I AM STATING MY OFFICIAL INTENTION TO FINALLY BUST THROUGH MY SQUAT PLATEAU. Gonna squat 2x/week. One high volume/medium intensity day and one low volume/high intensity day. I also gunna EAT. Until January. Trying 1800-2000 kcal per day and see how that fairs. I realize that when I’m trying to gain I eat really clean because I am so full from all the extra clean calories. When I’m trying to cut I also eat clean because duh. When I’m maintaining I sometimes still eat like an 8 yr old unleashed in the poptart pantry (only I don’t eat poptarts cuz I don’t like em but you get the picture).

Yay, was only planning on doing 195-5x5 since I squatted heavy and deadlifted Friday, but hey guess what it was so freaking easy I had to slap more weight on. I think I am going to have to face the facts that especially in deadlift and squat I should be training heavy more often that I have been. We’ll see. My damn elbow acted up because I did ridiculous amounts of arms exercises yesterday out of vanity. I was almost crying between sets but it feels fine now.

I have elbow- itis or whatever the heck you wanna call it and can’t(or prefer not to) do certain movements because of it. I think its from carrying my daughter everywhere for two years…even when the hubby was on deployment the last time, I could hold her and clean or make dinner one handed, haha.

So whats your plateau you WILL break through? :slight_smile:

245 is my previous max…I’m BUSTIN out to 250, baby! Lol, my goal right now is to have 225 manageable for 3 sets of 5 or more across by the end of December. I plan to start cutting weight sometime in January and would like to have a 265 squat by then. The reason I’m talking about this is because I have been making slow but steady progress on bench and deadlifts but not squats. Time to step it up a notch!

Good news is I feel my neck is finally adapting to all the squatting and deadlifting. I remember it used to feel strained all the time, but now it feels strong and rock solid. Don’t know if this is rational or not but all I can this is yay my head is safe!

Yeah, I will definitely not be doing triceps extensions or preacher curls for a lil bit, because I blame them for the pain this time.

That sounds like an awesome plan, and I hear you on the maintenance eating. My “maintenance” eating was really a bulk when I did that months ago.

I’m sure you’ll be fine for squats/DLs tomorrow. And if not, just remember that your shitty and burnt out is better than my best days haha

Nikki- You were right! Despite my initial doubts, after a few warm up sets I was ready to go.

Maschy- I think that could have been it. That’s why I like throwing that incline press day in there because it kind of operates as a working deload, even more so if I decide to do overhead press.
