I have the dreaded severe DOMS right now. This is what I get for not squatting heavy regularly every week. I have to make sure to squat my brains out again next Friday.

I also woke up with a hangover, a food hangover. Ah well, my birthday only come once a years! We went out for Indian buffet for lunch and then met some other friends for Cheesecake Factory dinner. I feel better now that I’ve had some hair of the dog in the form of Ezekiel bread and egg white french toast.

I still have half a slice of red velvet cheesecake in the fridge. I have to decide if I want to eat it or give it to my boyfriend so I can get the sugar out of my system today.

I love dips, probably because I’m good at them. My bench still sucks though. Do you do hanging leg raises knees to chest?

I do them with my legs straight out but I try to bring them as high as I can each time aiming to touch my toes to my face. The first 25 usually break past parallel and then the last 5 are right at. Is knee to chest a better way? I am new to ab training, so I need all the advice I can get!! I think I am going to try Russian Twists tomorrow.

Tonight, was the night of cardio!! First of a summer of cardio :slight_smile:

45 min on the incline treadmill. Yay fun!! I miss really pushing myself hard on the cardio end of things, I ended with one sprint, but I had to hold back a little because tomorrow is week 2 of magnusson/ortmayer.

Some random eats from back on track day

-1 slice Ezekiel bread french toast made with egg white, strawberries, cinnamon, and yummmm
+extra egg white

-Big protein shake with two scoops of vanilla icecream ON, 1/2 banana, strawberries, ice, glutamine, creatine, lecithin, and a dash of milk. This was kind of yucky. I need to get my magic protein shake touch back

-1/2cup of quaker cinnamon oatmeal squares (I am a sucker for 8 yr old comfort food)
-chicken and egg salad made with a dash of sour cream, dijon mustard, and pepper wrapped in raw cabbage leaves, like 1/2 a heads worth…delicious!!

I’m excited too!! Next week’s workout is going to be hellavu lot harder. Its basically adding 10lbs to all the sets I did this week…yeah…we’ll see how I do! I’m hoping for at least 8 on the last set. No. I’m getting at least 8.

Ohh do try it! Adding some canned chicken to the mix really makes it more substantial. I was thinking something pickly would also be nice, but I didn’t have a pickle.

The pullups were stagnating, so I’m resetting them and making sure I dead hang between each rep and keep my should blades back so I’m not tempted to use too much arm. They feel like a completely different exercise now. Rage against the Machine always does the trick for me with overhead press!! Ok, new policy, I am going to post what I’m listening to when I hit weight PRs or major rep PRs.

As for hanging leg raises, I think the best way to do them is your way. I am TOO FUCKING WEAK to do them your way. Yet.

Yeah, I do mine the Owlie way but they look atrocious and for the most part my legs are not straight. In other words, an ego check is in order - bad Masch.
