I have a little discrepancy here. From Black book of training secrets and Dr.Jeykll and Mr.Hyde CT wants the eccentric portion of the lift to be around four seconds. He says slower eccentrics result in bigger gains of structural hypertrophy. But in Theory and application of modern strength and power methods he cites a source that show the overspeed eccentric work is the best possible method muscle hypertrophy and strength gain. Maybe I read something wrong. CT hopefully you can chime in on this bc it’s been bugging me for a while.
