reverse grip overhead press would be a good challenge.
Did those yesterday, similar to the z-press as it surprised me on how little I could press initially.
What parameters do you have in mind for the challenge?
standing… bar starts on the chest…minimal leg drive… lockout and hold for a moment to show it’s locked out. whoever can get to BW or beyond.
If y’all want to set up a challenge within a challenge, feel free. I’m out. I tweaked my right hand more than just a tweak two weeks ago. I do not plan on pressing for the rest of this month.

That sucks dude! heal up.
Thanks btw I’ve been leaning out
What’s the date of the comp?
Keep us updated on training, nothing else is going on in the thread anyways.
Quick question: how many weight classes are there in strongman? I got asked at the gym and have no idea. Normally I only see/hear about the heavyweights.

March 17th. I keep a training log on here 200lb strongman training. I hit 250x3 log press last week going for 260 for at least a double tonight Triple would be pretty awesome.
the MAIN weight classes for NAS www.nastrongman.com is Lightweight (231 and under) Heavyweight 232+ there is subclasses for LW of 200 and 265 and 300 for HW’s
They are building up a new division 175lb with a big international comp next year at the Arnold and thats the goal I am working towards
Alright, let’s get this thread going again. My hand has healed up enough to start pressing some decent weight. Still cannot transition from the catch to press but eh, just means I press from the rack.
Got up a bit above body weight in those reverse grip OHP, though not strict. Anybody else doing these? How are they coming DoubleDuce?

haven’t done much with them yet.
Just finished a de-load and was going to take a run at them over the upcoming weeks though.
