I use free XT and love them. No excessive padding, roll design or ankle inhibition and great lateral support.
I’ve used chucks but find I do like a little arch support, as long as I’m not losing stability or significant force.

I sure hope so!!! Yesterday I did a snatch high pull of 74kg but fought to get under 55kg
Nice! I don’t care about the rules, I give full credit to pressouts I lost out on a snatch that went up like a toy because of a stupid pressout. Grrr.
