Rebuilding?? From an injury?
Canadians are always so damn nice.
Unless hockey is involved.
Ice, field, crab or tonsil?

Just curious.

when a Canadian says hockey they are always referring to ice hockey. fyi

although tonsil can get dangerous.

Got an axle clean and jerk pr today with 239

Edit…video isn’t here? anyone know how to fix that?
Re-edit…damn it, there it is
Forget the press squat cleaning an axle like that is HARD people. Damn man!
Thanks Kalle. I used to do the mixed grip continental disaster but on my first attempt of that the axle slid down my forearm ripping open my scar a little and freaking me out a lot. So I went to a traditional clean, just squeezing harder

This is a great overhead varation that Zydrunas Savickas uses and I think he has a pretty good overhead…

You cant lean back and cheat at all (which I do) really tests core as well

New goal do a bodyweight Z press almost had it haha

^ There are parts of me that hate the idea of that press, mainly my ass and lower spine. Unfortunately, the rest of me thinks “I must try this.”. Damn you. I will be attempting this in a few hours.

That was awesome! Nice job!

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Sir Kalle the Bold has setfort a challenge within a challenge. The slaying of the mythical bodyweight Z-press.

Video required.

I fell 15 lbs short today. Somewhat tricky lift. Let the good times unfold.

Nice 185 puts me 15lbs short as well. It is a tricky lift. Howd it feel overall?

I plan on doing them for more 3x5 style as an accessory in weeks to come might try to max it again in a month

Best thing I have done to increase my bw geared lift amounts was stop eating diary and shed 20 lbs of bloat. Caesin is not my friend, my friend.

I think I will add them into rotation. I was moving between back squats and the z-press, press deadstop off the safety pins. Put it just below my stick point for OHP so it think is a good spot to focus on. The motion to get my head through my arms felt natural right up until the weight was moving me around a bit. Once I figured out where to put my legs and get solid, its a mice feel lift. But man, there is no cheat so when you cannot move the weight leaning back a bit sticks you on your back. The eccentric had me reclining a couple of times.

I think maxing out will be limited because there is little wiggle room once the weight starts to look for another path up.

I really wanted to hit bw but reality slammed down hard on my last attempt. I think your plan is a good one. Shall we set a date?

Damn you. Okay chinish. Dead stop from the pins, correct?

Kalle looks like a cross between Dice Clay and Seth Rogan.

Just sayin’.
