I’m in law enforcement in NYC. Which martial arts school would you recommend for law enforcement? I looked up the schools you go to (WFC and NY Combat Sambo). Do they offer Kali, Krav Maga, or Combat Sambo at Westchester Fight Club? I know Kali, Krav, and Combat Sambo focus on defending against guns, knives, weapons, etc. I’m also looking for quality sparring partners. I have 2 years of experience in Muay Thai, 1 year in Boxing, and no experience in grappling and weapons defense.

The schools I have in mind are:

  1. Westchester Fight Club (quality trainers in each discipline, weight room, strength and conditioning program)

  2. Five Points Academy (Kali, Muay Thai, Judo, weight room, law enforcement discount)

  3. NY Combat Sambo (MMA and weapons defense)

Considering that I am in law enforcement and my schedule is unpredictable, which school offers a flexible and comprehensive schedule?

krav maga is a scam, kali is worthless unless you carry around a machete.
go to wfc if u live in the bx or westchester, NYCS if you live or work in the city.

btw being in law enforcement doesn’t mean anything when it comes to fighting, cops dont fight, CO’s dont fight. law enforcement just means you do paper work and talk tough while trying not to get jammed up.

I live in Queens, its a commute to both facilities.

I completely disagree with you about law enforcement agents not fighting. Plenty of my friends who work in corrections have had a bunch of fights with inmates. It is a common theme. As for cops, plenty of criminals enjoy attacking cops when they are being fingerprinted at the station-house when they are all alone with the cop.

Given the nature of my unpredictable schedule, do you think WFC or NY Sambo offers a more flexible schedule? I’m only interested in 1 on 1 private training sessions. Affordability is a big thing, too.
