Oh, and I purchased a hex trap bar because my gym doesn’t have one and I’ll need it for the new program. Imagine what the boys will think when I stroll (well not stroll exactly) in with muh bar!!! ;)[/quote]
Not stroll exactly? Pull, drag, haul, kick? They probably won’t even know what it’s for, they’ll be too busy finishing up their 1 hour bicep session.
That’s great, good to hear that you’re so excited about your new program. Everyone and their distance training is putting me to shame… not enough to make me want to do it, but I feel a little left out.

I didn’t know what it is. I had to google it, then google videos of it to see how it’s used.
These are men though who have the biggest egos with too much pride to want to learn something new. At least you looked it up, those muscleheads will just try to do curls with it.
Guys are just difficult. I’m on another forum where a guy wants to train only his upper body. What’s up with this big upper body and chicken legs syndrome?

I want one!!!
Seriously, that’s very bad-ass. Very.
I will be super interested to see what you will be doing with Tony. YAY!
Masch, Kimba – the trap bar is due into town on Thursday. Can’t wait to go play with it.
FYI – The exam I was scheduled to take at the end of July is off until February. I’m too overloaded at work to get adequate studying done. It’s too important to risk failing (and too expensive). So, my summer just opened back up and I can focus more on the training.
The program from Tony arrived and I’ve spent 3 days watching videos and taking notes so that I can start this week. We’ve also been volleying emails back and forth these 3 days. He is hilarious and supportive, all at the same time. For work product reasons I won’t be posting the programs but I will be posting the big moves and my advances (rack pulls are first up!!). I’ve decided to just put myself in Tony’s e-hands and see what kind of progress I can make in the next few months. Should be an interesting ride.

Well this is interesting. Did my first routine from Tony and sent him some feedback. He pointed out that relying on how exhausted I was after and/or how much pain I experienced that day or the next were NOT good indicators of a good work out. Turns out, being in a lot of physical pain every day for the past YEAR was not such a good thing. Grrrr. Well the prior guy repeatedly said he was a sadist. I guess he wasn’t kidding. I think the most interesting thing I will see with this new programming is results without the agonizing pain. What a concept.

Interesting. Glad to know “no pain, no gain” isn’t always true!
And here I’ve been feeling bad about not having any DOMS!
Did you have fun with the first day? I know you can’t tell what you did but can you tell us if you had fun or not?
