Optimum Pre-Workout Meal

What is your favorite Pre-workout meal/Shake? What is the best thing to take before working out? (I am on the growth surge stage 2)I want to be HYUUUUGGGEEE!!! LOL

Foods high in tyrosine, like steak or eggs, are what I tend to go for pre-workout.

I use Biotest Surge before, during and after my workouts. I’m addicted to it now, can’t workout without it. It was designed as a post workout drink but several writers at T-Mag have suggested sipping it during and after your workout.

I take 4 grams of glutamine and 40 grams of simple pure whey protein by EAS. I used to take 1 pill of xenadrine for energy right before i got to the gym; it helped on days that I was not as motivated.

I was referring to the last whole food meal before the workout…depending on the current goal, I use glutamine+bcaa’s or Surge about 20-30 mins pre-workout.

“Optimal” pre wkot meal depends on your goals.
If using Berardi’s split meal idea then I
think the following: if fat loss is your goal,
then a P+F meal is better. If muslce gain is
your goal, then a moderate protein + moderate
carb meal is better. That is, assuming you
are using some sort of P+C shake during your
wkot. If not, then a higher carb pre-wkot
meal could be called for.
