my wish for you is that the curiosity to tinker never goes away.
I used to be like that never met a setting on anything I wouldn’t adjust. monitor, tv, stereo, telephone, ms windows…
At some point, that stopped and now I find myself irritated if I have to go into a setting to make something do what it should be doing.
I’m so old man now that if I turn on the TV and it’s not on the input I left it on to watch something on my dvr list I turn it back off and go do something else.
Side note I’m this device old
I thought arc (audio return channel) was the greatest thing ever, until, sometimes, if somebody changed the input I get sound from DirecTv and the picture from netflix.
tldr: these days I want to watch tv, not mess with it.
I’ve been a tinkerer pretty much my whole life. I like to break shit just to see how I can put it back together… it’s actually led to a great deal of self-education too.
I don’t expect this to change, but the sentiment you’ve shared is greatly appreciated.
