Ontario T-Men?

i split my time between downtown t.o. and barrie, on. i’ve got a full compliment of strongman equipment (logs, stones, tires, sleds, etc) - i’d be interested in hearing from anyone who has the space to set up for some spring time strongman training in t.o.

Limoges, 30 min east of the Nation’s capital. That should make some Americans confused.

I have a home gym, thought it was complete, still add something from time to time.

42 yo
5’ 8"
230 lbs
BF 23% (big woop, working on it)
Learning to train since I was 10, actually training since I was 13.

I enjoy an HIT training style although it is not the only regiment, I also do some volume work as well, so anything goes.

Limoges eh? I’m from close to there and my best friend lives in Limoges. I live on Trim rd in Orleans on the way to Navan.

I’m not an Ontario T-man though, more of an Ontario T-women

Ontario T-Vixens definately allowed. Actually, encouraged. Actually, i’m only interetsted in T-Vixen come to think of it!!

All kidding aside, its nice to see so many of us, keep this thread up, or lets connect with whoever is closest to ourselves, (T-Vixen included) and we’ll have some new friends, training partners and possible car poolers to events etc. Excellent, glad everyone spoke up.

Downtown TO here, attending U of T and train at the athletic centre here. I’m in teachers college at the university. Anyone else go to U of T and train at the athletic centre?

I’m a U of T alum myself. I’ve been thinking of starting to train at the athletic centre again.

I’m here in Toronto (Keele/St.Clair), train at Adrenalin Fitness (Dufferin/St.Clair), only place I’ve been to where you actually see others deadlift…and the occasional person actually squat.
Thinking about entering my first bb show in May, have to decide if I can be 100% commmitted.

T

ALot more people from ont than I thought…cool stuff, what T-Nation events are there anyways?

Cool! My wife’s family has been in Limoges for generations, I’m originally a West end boy from Ottawa.

Send me a PM, if your friend is from Limoges originally, she probably knows her/him.

Must be a small place.

I’m located in Oakville.

I’m at the Metro Y on argyle in Ottawa. Metro… yes. there were a few guys i saw last week that put the ‘metro’ in the metro Y. argh.

I train using Westside principles, and am a Powerlifter. yes,you never see me post on T-Nation. Why? Because i lurk like a freak, and am damn proud of it. Too many lame ass arguments, and I’m kind of a straight Darksider. all the ‘functional’ shit that i see makes me a little ill. I think that cross-training (so to speak) is a good idea, but it comes back to Alwyn’s recent focus- everything is a tool. let your final goal drive the application of the tools to create the outcome.

22 year old male, Film Major at Carleton U. And you’re damn right i stand out in the film classes, lol.

nice to meet you all

I guess I’ll speak up for the Kitchener/Waterloo area.

I train in my basement. There’s no one to spot me, so I can’t really get my max lifts, but there’s also no dumbasses (I mean other than me).

Hey guys,

Just to let you know that I am conducting a free seminar in Toronto on Saturday, February 25, 2006 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. The topic is Healthy Living - An in-depth discussion on nutrition, exercise and lifestyle factors. There is no charge for this seminar; however, I am asking for donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. All the information can be found at http://www.bodyessence.ca/healthyliving.pdf
