YMCA of Barrie. I like it because it’s not always busy and there aren’t cocky assholes around all of the time.
I think I’ll probably end up going to Goodlife, though. My membership is up at the YMCA and it’s too damn far away.

I work out at a place in Brampton. Canadian Bodyworks. They too have recently upgraded and are trying to be a trendy place…but its alright. And 24hrs during the week. Nice new DBs too, up to 150 with super fat handles.
Plus they have a reverse hyper and a glute ham raise.

Have you tried the gym at Georgian? It can get busy but it’s really nice.
Actually, I have tried the gym at Georgian. It would be my preferred choice but it’s even more North than the YMCA. I live in the South end.
I live Kanata (just outside of Ottawa) and am about ready to start lifting serious poundage, more then I can reasonablely do at home. Anyone know a decent gym near me?
