All kidding aside, I’d advise those to start with the
velocity lite for the 28 days or whatever duration
Chris recommends and if you’re game go for the velocity.
My feeling is that with any lengthy undisiplined past eating habits, a protein fast may shock your system.

The biggest habit for most of us is the late night binging.
I know that one thing if you change nothing else will produce results. Big Time!!

I would eat well all day and f&ck it all up with late night binging.

Didnt feel like binging!
Not until I look at the calories that I come to found I was easily packing away almost 3000 calories.

The velocity is giving me control.

The next thing is incorporating more carbs to the routine.

I dont want to label any food off limits.

I’d like 90,95% of eating for performance.
the other % is for pure entertainment
because thats all it ever is.

This is a really helpful and insightful post. You’re whimsical, man. I like you!

Shhhhhhhhhhh!!!
lets just keep this a secret between me and you.

(and everyone else reading this!!!)

check out the serratus situp at T-Nation.
another favorite.
Just watch the heavy weight when lying on the bench,
I feel like I’m going to fall off when I do this exercise.

Better on the floor as recommended.
But if your gym is like mine, its the last place you want to lie down.

hey,

what size dbs you use for that serratus crunch?

what size would I use?

Is there no stretching/abs area in your gym?

No mats?

Barbaric.

Or is it you’re fastidious?

why do i think that’s unlikely?

You’ll love it because your Hero CT
invented it.
I think its great if you think on terms of stabilization
and making each situp really count.

You see people at the Gym looking like a swinging door in
a hurricane and not treat their abs with the same approach as other muscle groups.

Old girlfriend would crank out 200 situps and I would ask her why??
That allways pissed her off. Not so much asking her a question but putting at the end of the sentence… WHY!!!

Anyway!!

If 24 to 36 reps work for every muscle in the body, then why do something completely different for the abs?

I workout 4x6 starting at 70(35s in each hand)up to 100.

Holding at the peak for 2 to 3 seconds gets you the burn
in a fraction of the time.

HTH

CT is one of my heroes. I think he’s great and partly because he shows his human-ness without flinching.

That’s heavier than I had in mind!
Glad I asked. I usually do 15-25 reps for abs. 3x

Looks like it would work well with the 12kg kbs but I’m not promising I can hold 'em up…but I can die trying!

Ever do Turkish get-ups?

I had flipped it and flipped it but it wasn’t showing up that way until I flipped it in iphoto. I need a new one. Maybe I’ll get one today or tomorrow.

Here are the numbers:
calves 15"
thigh 23"
hips 37"
waist 36"
stomach 37"
above 34"
chest 40"
arms 14"
flex 15 1/2"

weight 173 lbs
fat 11.1% (still dont think thats right)maybe just under 20%
As long as I keep losing aroung the mid section,I’m
Happy!!!
Its been 1" a week for the stomach!!

The pictures are grainy using my companies vista os.

My Imac has no internet till monday.
Still, I wanted to put up something.

My Gut keeps shrinking and Man!!
I was really kidding myself and thought it
wasnt that big, but it is!!!
I dare say my stomach was over 40 41"
when I started.
You cant see it with these latest shots but there is
definition coming through when I flex and I’m
excited muscle will soon be exposed.
Ive allways wanted the single digits on fat
knowing that if I can get it in that range
I’ll be showing muscle that Ive been working on for
over the year.

I still get the desire to eat sometimes at night
not because I’m hungry but because its such a habit
to allways do it.
Its 37" at my gut and would like to hit 35"
by the end of the week.
Lets see if I can do it.

Click on my avatar and go to the photo section.
You’ll see 3 weeks worth of dieting

woo hoo Br1an!

The pics look GREAT!

You must be so stoked.
Your chest-to-waist ratio is improvong. Go for a 10" differential!

What are your plans for transition?

I’m thinking I want to keep working until I get to 15% and I’m wondering what you’re going to do?

Br1an?

Hey, you’re done Friday! That’s so soon. I keeep forgetting I started one day later than you.

So what’s going on over there?

What going on over here in los Angeles?
Cold windy weather that no one likes.
I like being spoiled with warm weather.
Zero tolerance!

Physique changes are just the begining.
I will contiue journaling on line and post
every week pictures.

I think what this Velocity Diets done is opens my eyes to
what a clean diet and taking in a considerable
amount of protein can do to fuel real change.
Its just the begining!!!
I know Ive gain muscle and excited about it.

I use to workout pretty hard and eck out little growth and
accepted it as normal.
Now I have a new found respect for what fueling your body can do for real growth,

It will be pro shakes and one meal per day.

I am anxious to get rid of the love handles, after that
six pack!!

I got a camera and will be using it instead of the phone for shots.

Well, we need an update!

I posted at the same time… keep it up.
A key is that you are already thinking how this will effect you long term.
You are not thinking of how you can cheat when it is over…

Hey Br1an, ya wanna do it together?

I’m going to be doing daytime shakes and a light evening meal, probably some bedtime protein shake, too.

Measuring weekly and working until I get down to 15% bf and see how I like it from there, then figuring out how to maintain, if I do like it.

Could be fun! Whee!

say yes!

Buckwheat speaks for me!!

Br1an, Br1an, Br1an!

You’ve only got a couple more days!

How are you feeling? Please share–generously! Like candy from your heart!

Your new avatar is awesome. You’re so lucky you just had a little loaf and love handles, no moobs. That means your T-levels aren’t low. Just too many carbs it seems.

I can’t believe how trim your torso looks. and WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE FRIDAY??

The anticipation, it’s…KILLING ME!

Tell us your eating plan for next week? It’s going to be weird for me to go off these shakes, I admit it.
