I started out kind of slow this morning. That first round took forever, but every round was faster than the last. I got ready to start the 5th round and was kind of surprised that I was already on round 5. I switched out my 15 for a 25 and I think that was a pretty good move. I am not optimistic that I will finish this using the 35 for a full workout. If I don’t, I will get it the next time I run this. I can’t believe I am thinking that I will run this again. There must be something wrong with my head. Lol
I have decided that fasting is not for me. While it did seem to help control my hunger in the mornings I found that it was causing a general feeling of malaise. I suppose a drop in carb consumption and an increase in coffee could have been playing a role as well but either way, I didn’t feel good. I will however continue to do my workouts fasted. That seems to work just fine. I also think I will continue to fast on road trips. That was actually super helpful last time.
I was catching up on work paperwork, and there are only so many minutes I can devote to that before I’m forced to fuck around. *Chart note, chart note, fuck around, chart note, fuck around, fuck around, chart note, chart note.
I’m really glad I gave myself permission to work out fasted. Much better, and any cortisol spikes it’s causing are offset by the reduced stress of not having to figure out how to get food digested by 6am.
Interesting observation. I came to the same conclusion. I went through waves of hunger induced nausea and anxiety. Not fun. Always nice to experiment with our own body labs.
Preach. All the recommendations of "eat 30-60g carbs 30-90 minutes before a workout. Uhm… I need to have worked out, showered, had breakfast and be in the car driving to work by 630. That timing doesn’t math.

This is right up there with those gurus that say “As soon as you wake up, get outside and get some natural sunlight in your eyes to help set your circadian rhythm”
Who the hell is waking up for work when the sun is up?
I noticed more of a weird feeling with my heart rate. It wasn’t racing or anything like that. It was more just that I could feel it beating. If that makes any sense. Either way, it made me feel weird and not in a good way.
I feel like I’m constantly trying to find something that works. As long as I’m staying in the healthy lane I guess it’s all good.
On a different note, I think all these KB swings are making my ass bigger, or at least more solid. Buns of steel here I come!
OMG! My mom used to work for the township and she had a lady call and ask for them to move the deer crossing sign because she didn’t like them crossing in that spot!
Yeah like, who decided they should cross there? Right?
I have a pet deer that hangs out in my front yard and eats tomatoes. I yelled at him last year, and I kid you not, he looked down and away all sad and hurt.
Haha! That’s what I miss about our old house. We had a whole herd of deer that would hang out in our tree line. They were so pretty. But the little fuckers ate up my vegetable garden!
