I know what you mean about finding ‘pain free’ exercises. I’ve almost totally dropped squats for trap bar deads and my lower back has thanked me for it. And I can’t do overhand pull-ups or high pulls without my elbows aching like hell.
That Jordan Burroughs-David Taylor match you linked was awesome!!! If that had been for an Olympic gold, it would’ve been one of the greatest of all time matches for sure.
Best bad-ass wrestler story I ever heard was about a U of Penn guy (curly blond hair, national level top 3?, saw him wrestle on TV once) who when in college broke his jar, had it wired, then cut the wires himself because he couldn’t breathe and it was messing with his wrestling.
Have to be crazy to be a top level wrestler…
I love that kid.
He is a Bad ass
back in the day- there where some crazy guys out there
most of the Iowa kids behaved pretty crazy on and off the matt.

Do you think an ice vest is worth investing in?
Ive sat in many an ice bath - and have sat with ice packs after training
or work - on my knees neck shoulder etc.
and in college I did have access to to like premade 'wraps
that sat in the freezer and you put them on they where
made of neoprene and velcro with some gel sandwiched in the layers
those where pretty cool
If you battling inflamation of the joints- or shoulders or muscle soreness
sure-
is this based on the artcle?
I know you are proactive on recovery

If our parts ache this bad now what are we gonna do when we get old?
Yeah, I was asking about the vest because I read the article and saw you had commented. Definitely, I am very proactive on recovery so anything that is useful and a reasonable cost attracts my attention. Wearing a cool vest after working in the sun all day seems like an enjoyable experience as well. I think it will put me to sleep.

I forgot you live in FLA- in your case I would say - yes.
Yes!
It would help you both with inflammation and recovery.
I agree that CT is awesome but sleeping in a cold room for most of us
is a recipie for new joint pain
I used to live in Colorado for a while and I would sleep with the windows open all winter unless snow began piling on the glass. I love sleeping in the cold. I may be ordering a cooling vest soon.
A dimel dead 135 2x20 for some activation
B squat 135 2x01 225x8 315x6 365x3 405x2 315 3x5

365 triple was fast 405 double smooth - but 2nd rep was a grinder
need work on some rep strenf
other shit - need to do more for just some building
played around with tricep pushdowns- found a grip that made the elbows feel great.
lastly this kid - I helped with front squats- got me to bang away on a heavy bag - felt pretty good.

Thats a real tough session right there, Have to get on the band walks for the glute activation
thanks brother sorry the belated reply.
I saw Mark Bell has a product out for banded junk
its not like the x-banded walk around your ankles I probaly tripled
an orange band around my knees and walked and did some squats with the bar
forcing the knees out.
wrapped up that last project , but still no training.
I had a work accident- and am pretty jacked up.
I am ok- nothing is broken but I have to use a cane.
I fell like 12-15 feet and got pretty banged up-
while being lucky enough not to do any real damage.
Am seeing a Dr this monday to see what is going on
and if I need PT and see when I can return to work
and or training
