Thank you GV.
I am trying to push conditioning because I am having issues
With a full on work day - I die for the middle of the day on.

Training this morning 5.18.15

PVC at home
Mobility stuffs
TRX medley
Face pulls x rows x push-up x fall outs

WUT a complex of sorts
4 rounds of
Squat 225 x5
Dead 275x5
Pull-up x5
Db OH press 50 x5

1500 m row 7:04

notes
Did this at 730 am
No rest between exercises
One set of deads at 315 had to roll those back too taxing

All in all this sucked less then you’d think but it still sucked

That looks like one sucky complex.

thanks joe…
Its the best kind when they suck.

been busy with work.

Back at PT - they fought it out with insurance.
so back 2x a week for few weeks.

Did a session on 5.20.15

12 mins arc trainer- I keep calling it an elliptical but its an arc trainer

A1 walking lunges - WUT 3 work sets of 45lbs times a bunch of steps
A2 v- crunch- like 6x15
B abduction 4 x12
C aduction 4x12
D seated ham curls 4x12
E leg extensions 4x12
F tri set of leg press - 3 pos wide narrow and calf press-4x12-15 each

notes-
they are very big on tempo and eccentric reps
and truth be told it makes even machines with small loads very difficult
Im still sore more from this.

Hope people are enjoying a long weekend in America.

wrapped up a busy week this past week
not surprisingly work is alot harder then anything I can do at PT or in the gym

2nd session of PT this week

G standing rope abs 5x12

notes-
rack pulls sucked
chest supported row more please
pull downs and low rows - felt good.
these two HS machines are OK - the rest dont work for me
It seems on the versions my gym has everywhere youd want to put your grip
isnt there and is opposite of what you would find comfortable and or productive
all in all an Ok session
everyone enjoy your longish weekend.

Finding the time to do therapy after training can be a challenge for me but I make it a priority. Looks like you’re getting your therapy in which is so important. Glad to see you’re getting good work in.

that long work day left me dead for like three days- I cant do those days anymore
I dont recover well

I used to, and now that I’m back on these forums again still do, sometimes wonder what your motivations to lift are. For many of us, lifting is a sport that we love and compete in. Many others use lifting as an aid to other sports. Throwing, highland games, swimming, water sking, I even remember some speed skating and a bizare and brutal team sport popular in south east asia whose name I forget. Others, although not so many in the oldtimers forum lift to look good. Your stated purpose is more or less general fitness, making yourself more capable for whatever comes up from day to day. Is this your primary motivation, or is there something else going on? So as not to leave false assumptions in play, I am much impressed with your training and admire you for the level you have taken it too.

Hey Kev- just checking in to see how you are doing.

Yep in your log you guessed - I’m formerly kmcnyc

Right now I’m still rehabbing a new acl and re-attached hamstring and some related junk.
So for now it’s just trying to get back to my life

notes
this weekend work left me pretty banged up
knee wasnt up for any lower stuff what so ever.
upper pump and fluff lots of fluff

You nailed the song. John Henry’s Hammer is the one I was talking about. I have another version I really like but that’s it. So cool that you knew that. Nice routine and given the work load and considering being beat up seems like you’re doing well.

I like fluff. Lots of fluff. Way to work around a long work schedule and a sore knee.

Your work schedule is crazy. I am not sure how you do it. And then to actually get workouts in as well. Props…
