On the Strenf

Thanks people

yup OG got in a built in barometer great new feature.

Dude623 your so not kidding.
there are a few PT’s at the practice and one more senior guy who is built like a line backer.
they all basically push on my leg in flexion ( curling) until my glutes shake
I have shed a tear or two inadvertently.
we use a strap to stretch hams- by pulling them- while laying down
they are pretty aggressive with this

Thanks GV- just trying to get my life back.

Sorry no Bulldog. It’s fun to meet people from TN. I have had the privilege to meet quite a few. Some who are old members and not around much anymore.

Good to see that you continue to progress.

And welcome to the club of people who have built in joint barometers!

you are so not kidding about the barometer I get laid up pretty bad when it changes.
so not used to this.

Progess is happening- but I force it.

I should have also thanked you ksnap-
thank you for popping in with your kind words.

had a not so mild panic attack while at the gym
sitting there riding a recumbent bike - yes thats where Im still at
feeling sorry for myself after a less than good training session

I was replaying some banking shit in my head
and it did’nt add up well at all
not at all

coincidently some fucking 90’s college era depression shit ass
Bryan Eno song sabotaged me from my phone
More then this-
fuk you

where was my resolve?
black tshirt anger?
sucked out of me by a recumbent bike
and injuries that just fucked me up more then physically apparently

this felt worse then being in college
laying on my floor
after a ten mile run while listening to NIN pretty hate machine and being super hung over
most likely suffering a lame break up from some shit box girlfriend

I detest self pity.
its weakness

Yet sitting here typing I am falling victim to it.
there is your more personal side of me today

but fuck that I lifted weights!

Kevin, I can?t begin to image what you are going through. This really sucks. I am sorry. But you such a caring and committed father and husband and that’s all that really matters. And you’ve been through a lot so a little self pity sometimes is understandable and not weakness.

X2^^^^^^^

As someone who has done rehab for about a year, I understand. The physical pain is nothing compared to the psychological toll of being “weak”. I felt like a “victim” and my Alpha lifestyle was gone and , maybe, never coming back to full strength. The thought of being “disabled” and “not fit for duty” nearly drove me insane. Hang in there, its not self pity to feel weak, it just damn scary. You will recover, you are putting the work in. Stay Hard, Sir.

I’ve been low carbing for almost a week. I really could use a cookie. Homemade chocolate chip with a glass of milk.

[quote]JoeGood wrote:

For the win! Nice to read that Kev ! Keep on keeping on!

So in essense you do two complexes but the ABCDEF complex wasn’t repeated? That’s damn fine work right there.

Are you who I think you are under a different name?

Big grip strength? heavy overhead squats? always wears black?

[quote]JoeGood wrote:

ah Sorry Joe…

I do a short complex for activation…

that is the one written like this…

row x RDL x squat x etc
I usually work up to 135 or 155- then call it quits

when Im more robust - I do some stuff where I will work
a bunch of stuf like this

ROW x RDL x Clean X front Squat
start with the bar and work up to like 185-205 for three
that hasnt happened in a while…

the ABCDEF
is just the order in which I do the exercises

If I do something like a ‘superset’
its
A1 act like a jackass 5x10
A2 piss and mone 5x5

Im not big on taking rest on most of if save for say squats.
does that explain my gibberish better
