ON 100% Whey?

Is it just me or does this stuff have no tatse? I usually use “Matrix 5.0” extreme chocolate by Syntrax. It tastes great at 120 cals/23g protien per serving. The local supp shop stopped carrying it so I got 2lbs. of The ON whey for $18. It mixed well, but it had no tatse at all. I guess it beats tasting like crap, but it surprised me because I kept hearing how it tasted so chocolaty etc. Any reccomendations on other chocolate proteins to try that taste good (except for muscle milk, to me that is the best, just trying to avoid the sugar/fat content right now)

Well… it is the sugar and fat that is going to give it the taste. Look on the label, ON WHEY contains little of anything exept for protein. So of coarse there is not going to be much of a taste.
Be greatfull, like the label says 79% pure unadulterated protein. The highest concentration on the market. (That I know of anyways)

Cyah

What flavor did you get? What did you mix it with? How much liquid did you mix it with? It all matters. I get the 5lb tubs for ~$25. I like the flavors, cheap and doesn’t cheat you out of macro-nutrients.

I don’t really care what my protein mix tastes like, long as its not shit. I don’t ever sit down to drink a protein shake, its generally chugging it down in 30 seconds. If you really want flavor, add banana’s or berries or a mix of stuff. Oatmeal works too.

Try the “Extreme” milk chocolate or something. I have never tried matrix protein so I don’t have much to compare it to other then EAS and kirkland protein. I prefered ON to both.

bang for your buck wise nothing beats ON whey protein. Period

I dont know if they have since changed the formula but when I used ON several years ago. Even one scoop would give me wicked gas. It was so bad I had to get my money back from the store.

I read if a protein gives you a ton of gas like that it is shitty quality and probably mostly sugar.

I mixed it with 8 ounces of water only. I got the doucble rich chocolate. I really can’t complain because it does not taste bad, and so far (3 doses) has not given me gut problems.

I guess form what I had heard it was supposed to be so good, so I was expecting more (taste wise) than I got. I found where I can order Matrix 5.0 online. I am a chocolate fanatic and that helped me get my fix while avoiding real chocolate (shakes, donuts etc.)and getting good low carb protein at the same time.

Mix it with milk next time and you have instant chocolate milk. If you dont want that much milk then I also do 1/2 milk and 1/2 water and its much better than water alone.

I have never used the choc. flavor, but I do use the strawberry flavor, and I think it tastes great, actually. Add a little splenda and some berries or bananas maybe?

i’m pretty sure i read one of ON 100% Whey tubs in a store once and it said the protein was derived from soybeans.

Needless to say it put me off

If it was whey, it does not have soy
