People on this bodybuilding site don’t take too kindly to well, bodybuilding.
I see Jay taking it again and Ronnie possibly slipping to third sadly behind Victor Martinez. After that Dexter Jackson and then it gets real screwy so I won’t even try.
I’m interested to see how Dennis Wolf does in the show as he has looked very impressive through pictures but that doesn’t always translate to stage(Dennis James anyone ha).
Also looking out for my man David Henry who likely won’t place all that well but is still one of my favorites competing.

Oh man you beat me to the punch, I just signed on to start a thread.
How do I see it? Being that it’s Ronnies last Olympia, he’s pretty much promised at least a second place finish.
The trend of smaller more defined physiques seems to have disappeared of late so I don’t see Dexter getting third over Victor.

the olympia USED to be about mostly mass, in recent years they have explicitly stated that they are putting less emphasis on mass and more emphasis on aesthetics like symmetry and muscle maturity.

There was a quote in Flex Magazine by Toney Freeman a couple of months ago. He said he wants to get up to 305 pounds, and he said if he doesn’t win the 2008 O, he’ll retire.
From what I know, he’s getting up there in age (41), so his chances are getting slimmer by the year.

I am no bodybuilding expert but I always read about Johnny Jackson through powerlifting and am impressed by his physique but never hear anything about his Olympia standings? Why?

He’s placed 11th and 13th the last two years I believe. It just goes to show at that level show someone as impressive as Johnny’s physique is just isn’t even close.
