Oldies but Goodies:

Guy’s and gal’s think back when you were in the 80’s what were your favorite movies/Tv series. Does everyone remember the “LAST STARFIGHTER”, ET, Grease, Star Wars, Star Trek, Superman. TV series I watched: Knight Rider, A-Team, Dukes of Hazzard, Airwolf, Sunday morning comics. Damn I bring back some fond memories myself;).

Someone has been watching too much of “I Love the 80’s”.

I was watching Knight Rider the other day while doing cardio at the gym and some old bastard changed the channel. Where’s the love?

Jared: Sorry, don’t have MTV. This just came up in random conversation w/ a memeber of my gym. I grew up as a teenager in the 80’s though. I just thought these are good off-topic subjects. To get away from all that Iraq subject ect.

And to bring back fond memories.

Just giving you a hard time fitone. The 80s were the decade of my childhood (I was born 2 months before they started), so I love all the stuff from then as well.

Here’s a nerdy one. How about Square 1? My brother and I used to always watch it to see Mathnet. It must have played an integral (haha) role in our mathemetical development. I scored an 800 on the math portion of the SAT as a 15 year old and my brother is now teaching math at Harvard.

Hmmm, let’s see… Star Wars, Superman, E.T., Grease… nope, doesn’t ring a bell. Lay off the indo, fitone.

Jason Norcross is cursed by not being able to post much during the day.

But he did admit to the guilty pleasures of Square 1 and Mathnet. He’s smart too. That’s 3/3 for Mathnet. I think I’m on to something here…

Haha, just did some editing. I had to fix the following problem: “He’s smart to.” Good one, Jared.

ET still brings a tear to this day!

Oh and I installed Netscape and can post again

Square 1 rocked - Mathnet was the best part.

3.2.1 Contact. Now that was a math/science show;)

good times, whats happening, goonies, karate kid.

I think they made us watch 321 Contact at school. That lowered its coolness value for us.

Come on… I graduated form high school in '82. Bunch of young punks… You have NO idea what the '80’s was about.

The Wraith (and a whole host of others much like it).

Star Wars (the first one) was in '77. It wasn’t until 1980 that Empire Strikes Back came out.

Aliens (this is still the best of the series).

Predator.

Personally I was always a fan of Davey and Goliath!

Also there was an old game show that used to be on ABC on Friday nights called The Krypton Factor. That would’ve been back in 80 or so. Wasn’t on for very long but I thought it was pretty cool.

Damn, am I really that old?

I totally forgot Sataurday, afternoon Kung Fu theater.

Alright! Sunday Afternoon Action “Badly - Dubbed” Theater.

  1. Take one kung fu guy.
  2. Have him go out fishing or something.
  3. Kill all members of his school by a rival school.
  4. Have him come back and vow revenge on those who did it.
  5. Have him lose badly to the rival school in the first meeting.
  6. Have him run away and learn some new martial arts in the forest via watching some animals.
  7. Have him come back and kill everyone at the rival school.
  8. Have the movie end at the deathblow of the main boss.
  9. Repeat every Sunday until they cancel it and put some learning crap on (like 3.2.1 Contact)

voltron and thundercats
