tonight:

CGB: 1x 205/225/245/255/265/275
Curl: 1x 95/100/105/110/115/120
db row: 100x 10

nice long pauses on the bench.

did my hip exercises so joe won’t come over and beat me down.[/quote]

Good man.

But you are still doing your hip exercises while sick?

Nice braemar stone corrmhona. heehee.

Foul allergies, over 2 weeks and every deep breath is still followed by hacking and wheezing and the production of lung cookies. so no lifties. but yes, C, I am still working my hip. the threat of a Joe Good beatdown is ever in my mind. especially this close to the 238th birthday of our Beloved Corps.

I’m hugging it to try and keep it warm…it is a good starter braemar, I’ll try and get the big one out in the spring.

What are you allergic too? Move here, I’m sure it is frozen already. Unless you are allergic to ice mold, in which case, 'tis the season…though not as bad as the spring.

Big C,
I am assuming that the allergen is leaf mold or leaf smut or something like that. I’m not sure. But everyone I know has been complaining about worse allergy/hay fever misery than usual after the leaves really started to fall.

Most of them are down now, and we had some good rain, so I no longer have the congestion and junk, just a persistant cough and sore throat that I have decided is my body’s way of telling me that I have become too weak to be allowed to survive.

So, since I can take deep breaths again, hoping to lift tonight.

lifted for the first time in forever.

bench 205x 5/5
goblet squats bw x 10/10
curls 95x 5/5
stupid hip exercises, 2
1 arm db row, 100x5

The temperature in my garage got all the way up to 38 degress, so I figured I’d better lift. First time the high was over 30 in a couple weeks. finally got over my various depressions and pestilences etc. stupid winter.

twice in the same week. need to keep it going

cgb 205x 5/5
stupid hip exercises
curls 95x 5/5
goblet squats 15x 6/6
db row 100x 7

i can’t believe how bad my legs DOMSed after mondays session. I really dreaded doing more goblet squats, but i figured they would make me feel better. It’ll probably take a few more days before the pain will go away. The good news is, my hip felt great the day after monday (that would be “yesterday”). So, I’ll see if I can’t string a few more of these together.

My garage was around 20 F tonight. motivation to make it quick.

tonight’s workout:

shovel snow x 2,000,000,000,000 or something like that

Tomorrow, the Nutcracker!

Gave my seat at the nutcracker to my son’s cousin, while the cousin’s dad and I drank scotch.

Today went to see Elf The Musical. Pretty cool.

probably won’t lift til after xmas. schedule’s been messed up, and I don’t feel like shoehorning it in. you know, cuz I’m a fat baby.

Merry Christmas to all You Old Farts!

Great to see you John. Hope you had a Merry Christmas.

I had a great christmas, thanks. I hope you and everyone else here had a good one as well!

Alright, starting over again last night:

1/2
cgb 205x 5/5
curl 95x 5/5
db row 100x 7

need to do some additional weirdo hip exercises before I can start squatting again. went a little too soon last time.

1/3 2d night in a row

cgb 205x 5/5
curl 95x 5/5
db row 100x 7

Happy new year- good to see you back

Thanks kevin. It’s good to be back in the gym if only sporadically.

1/6
CGB 205x5/235x3/265x2
Curl 95x5/105x3/115x2
DB Row 100x8

chugging along

Your bench is moving right along. You still boozing as often as I am? I switched to red wine and good beer. No more whiskey for me.

Steve, I only average 1-2 drinks per week, and when I do, its whiskey. I have become a single-malt snob, both Irish and Scotch.

Did you switch to wine/beer so you could maintain the same volume 8*)?

1/12
CGB 205x 5/5
Curl 95x 5/5
Row 100x 10

I did this 1 or 2 other times that I did not record
