Thanks Jack, it’s good to be back.
Well, Joe, reports of me being back to squatting were, perhaps, premature. before my vacation, I had started some super light goblet squat type stuff. But since I stopped doing my hip exercises, I need to get them built back up before I can start in on squatting again. prolly be a couple weeks. And with the big squat numbers you’ve been hitting, I don’t know if I’ll ever catch you.
got a quickie lifty in on 10/9 and forgot to post it:
CG Bench, 205x5/5
Curl, 95x 5/5
DB Row, 100x 7
Then tonight I hit the following (it as 5-3-2 night)
CG Bench 5x 205, 3x 245, 2x 275
Curl 5x 95, 3c 105, 2x 115
DB Row, 100x 7
Note that I bounced the lest rep pretty hard at 275. I should have done my double at 255 or 265. Oh well, if you aint’ cheatin’, you ain’t tryin’.
Fraternity reunion last night. had the following Irish whilskies:
Concannon (blend)
Tyrconnel (single malt)
Michael Collins (single malt)
Jamesons (blend)
Bushmills 10 year single malt
And the following scotch whiskies, all single malts:
Tomatin
Glenlivet
Kilchoman
Note that the Tomatin and Kilchoman were brought by someone who wasn’t showing off their whiskey collection as much I was.
my reduced collection now only consist of:
Michael Collins (single malt) just a couple drinks left
Michael Collins (blend) in its entirety, because why open it with all the other epicness going on
Bushmills 10 year single malt.
Harry, if you’re reading this, you should try the Concannon. It’s a new brand, made by Concannon winery in CA. Well, its custom made for them by Cooley’s, the distellery in Ireland that makes Tyrconnel and a couple others. The Concannons, once their winery was successful, felt they owed it to America to have a custom made Irish whiskey for Americans. It’s cheaper than Jamesons, and I like it quite a bit. Since it’s new, and still on sale, It will probably be my go to blend for the next few months. I’ll get a new bottle soon. After I punish the Michael Collins.
It will take awhile to restore my collection, since the only Irish single malts available in the People’s Republic of Utah are the Bushmill and Michael Collins, which I already have. I’ll have to go back to bootlegging to get the rest.
