It’s true - they don’t smell very good close up.
no. mastadons and mammoths are extinct. Bison (buffalo) are still plentiful. You cant hunt them because they mostly are no longer wild. However, you can get grassfed bison which is both healthful and yummy. But don’t buy a whole one. I think a whole one costs $6/lb for the meat (800 lbs) and it comes with the hide. Enough to feed a family for a long time. My wife won’t let me buy one.

Your avatar is freaking me out. I preferred the Dethklok logo (Thunderhorse remains one of my favorite Guitar Hero songs to play).
And buddy, you got no idea how much I hate eating like this. The last three weeks I’ve laid in bed feeling sick over the amount of food in my stomach. Ugh!
benching looks good, hows the stretching going?
hmmmm bison. good stuff.

I’m sure I was told in school geography that they were hunted to extinction. Were they re-introduced?. Well I guess you can’t believe everything your teachers tell you. I suppose they didn’t have wikipedia back then to check their facts.
Is it just me or does the bison remind you of those guys at the gym who only train upper body?

Kent, what exactly are you eating? There may be something there that you’re sensitive to. Meat shouldn’t be a bother.
The European bison WAS hunted to extinction. The American bison was heading there, but we’ve left them alone for a while so there’s quite a few of them. NOt nearly so many as there were but quite a few. Shoot, we even have some in San Francisco.
John I am glad to hear you are stretching- and lifting.
heal thyself faster.
ps nice work.
Brett, as DCA mentions, they were hunted to near-extinction, going from tens of millions in number to a few thousand, but there are significant herds throughout the US, especially west of the mississippi (where all the good stuff is anyway).
Cav, I think Kent just isn’t getting enough ice cream. or whiskey.
Hey Kev. Yeah, dr. enforced mobility. Sadly, I don’t always follow the destructions, and I’m paying for it now. just kidding about everything east of the mississippi sucking big ass. really. just kidding.
3/31/11 non-5/3/1 miscellaneous wierdness
back extensions
45x 10/10/10
35x 10/10
ab rollouts
15x 8/8/8/8/8
on the back extensions, I failed to do my various oldfatman hip care, so I am harmed. the 3d set with the 45 plate started hurting in all the wrong places, so I dropped to a 35.
rollouts were done with 15# dumbells.
I have once again proved that if you are smart, you do your mobility and dr-ordered hip stretches and feel great! or do like me and keep hurting yourself. I wasn’t able to sleep well because of this.
Today, I have already done my stretches 4 of the necessary 6-8 times, and I only feel half as shitty as when i finished lifting yesterday.
Someday, I will pull my head out of my ass. That day was not yesterday.

Heh, I am the same way, I only remember to stretch the low back and hips, etc when I am laying in bed with the wife, and it is tight from recent activity, before going to sleep.
