Last year I purchased a new John Deere riding mower. My yard is an acre. I had a couple of issues with it, so they picked it up Tuesday (it’s under warranty). I called today and I was told I should get it back mid next week.
Therefore, tonight’s workout consisted of push mowing the front half acre. I’ll finish the rest tomorrow after work. My OCD would not allow me to let it get out of control until next week.
I’ve had a few John Deere mowers and still do. In the past if they didn’t have a part, they would have it in the next morning. That changed a couple years ago.
I met an older lady who had a very large yard. I said “ you must have a big garden tractor “. She said “I use a push mower, I don’t see why some people spend $5,000 on a mower and then spend $3,000 on a treadmill”. I’m not giving up my lawn tractor but there’s some logic in that.
The cruise control went out. I really don’t care about that. The emergency brake handle came off. That was the main reason to get it fixed. They are waiting on a new one to come in.
The lady you talked with is right, but I just hate pushing the mower for four hours.
I got off early and mowed the back half acre. I got some hills back there, so it’s a little more work. The wife left town with her sister this weekend, so now for some ass sitting.
My last one made it 18 years and I didn’t have any issues. I really like this one too. I just think they should have had an emergency brake handle in stock.
I didn’t have a lot of energy this morning. I’ll guess I’ll blame it on two days of push mowing. It was one of those workouts you just have to power through.
