I’m jealous of your l05 pullovers.

That’s all I had time for. We’re on the road to visit our daughter for Easter. In fact, the wife was all over me for doing this much.

I decided to change things a bit today and see what I had in me. I needed a slight bump about half way up at 355. I’ll deload next week and reset.
I had my longtime friend and two of the young officers from work spot me. When one of the young guys left, I got the back handed compliment. “I hope I can do that when I’m that age.” He’s a good kid and was being nice. Still, I wanted to tell him, I’m not in the home yet.
Your lifting numbers have me favoring the positive side of that compliment. If that kid’s working for you you’re likely a role model for him. No age limit on “mature”.
Just yesterday I was teasing my 80 year old friend as he benched 245. Essentially, “I hope I can do that when I’m that age”. Same idea.
I know he was just being respectful. I actually respect the way both of them train. They are currently on nightshift and get off at 6:30 AM. They hit the gym after work and train until 9:00 or so. They told me when they are on days they hit the gym at 3:00 AM. There is no way I would ever do either at this point in my life.

Petty nice pump this morning.
Arms are a favorite of yours, so let me write how little I did today for concrete biceps.
4 x 8 wide grip pullups at 247 lbs bodyweight; 3 x 10 tricep rope extensions w/40 lbs, and 3 x 12 cable curls @ 52. Some shoulder work. Biceps pumped 2 hrs later. I think it’s the pullup work. Neutral grip pullups produce same feeling, but back profits more from wide grip ones.
You gotta build those pipes for court and cut the sleeves off your jacket.

I normally don’t do carries on Thursdays, but I had the itch.
Cutting off sleeves might intimidate wimpy judges.

I did just enough to stretch and get loose. Deload came at a good time. I have a slight stinger in my left shoulder. Hopefully it clears up, so I can get after it next week.

Some young guy was on a bench to my right. I really thought he was dead. He was just laying there with a blank look on his face. I noticed he had not moved for a while. I walked over and got a reaction. Thankfully the kid was alive.
Yikes! What was he doing?
