I still have a little pain in my right knee, so I have been avoiding too much heavy work that puts stress on it. The pulls were not an issue. I did the leg spreader things for the first time in years.

In my gym we call it the kama sutra machine.

I hit the public gym early this morning. I’m off to the state capital for three days for some lobbying (aka legalized bribery). It’s the week I hate the most each year.

This would not normally be a deadlift week, but we are going to be out of town next weekend. I was already having anxiety about missing it, since this is the last workout in this routine. I decided to go for it anyway.

My knees are feeling better, so I attempted V-Squats again. There were really no issues.

I was going for two reps at 340, but it was not happening. I smoked it last week. I cut things short because we are leaving town and I am hope I am leaving something in the tank for next week.

We’re heading for our final parents’ weekend at our daughter’s college. She is a manager at the rec center. Washington State claims to have the best rec center in the PAC 12. She sent me a text last night and said admission is free this weekend, and she wants to workout with me. So, I’m bringing my gear.

We hit the WSU rec center. It was pretty cool. You can probably fit 10 of my gyms into it. Plus there is a swimming pool that is the shape of Washington, basketball courts, and a track.

They had dumbbells up to 180 and a ton of machines.

Is that the school with stadium next to lake Washington and some kind of drawbridge?

No, that’s the University of Washington in Seattle. Washington State is in Eastern Washington, in Pullman. We are surrounded by wheat fields.
