Big Dog, huh? It’s not as edgy as Crippler.

Nothing special tonight. I was kinda low on energy.

On the plus side, as of this month, I am 36 months from retirement.

My first retirement (from the military) was a huge adjustment. It only lasted 3 weeks though. Second one from USPS was easy. Long as you have interests and keep moving, which I’m sure you will, it’s enjoyable.

Oh, I can keep busy. As of this year, I have 31 total years in law enforcement. That’s more than enough. I’ll only be 55 when I finally pull the plug.

Bet you’ll be busier when you retire.

I still have my second job teaching at the university. I plan on doing that for another 10 years or so. Until my wife can retire.

Good for you, you earned it. When I was young I said I wanted to retire at 55 and now I’m 55 and it’s not going to happen.

My career is both a blessing and curse. It’s nice to be able to retire young. On the downside, I always thought being the boss would be easy. Once you become the boss you find all the stress. I still like what I do, but I’m ready to move on.

I was able to hit 330 for three. 100 lb pullovers has been a goal for a while. I normally do 15 reps. I’m not there yet. The gym has dumbbells up to 125. That’s going to be my 15 rep goal. My bench goal is 350 for three reps.

I know the V-Squat machine is not the same a regular squats, but it’s the best I can do at this point in my life. The arthritis in my shoulders does not allow me to reach that far back. I’ve enjoyed doing them and it has gotten me back into squating.

Great posts. Glad to see you using your strength; probably known as the muscle bound professor at your college.

100 lb pullovers says it all.

Consider becoming a wrestling coach when you retire?

Wresting is how I got my moniker. One season two guys I was wrestling broke their legs. Purely by accident of course, but the guys on the team gave me crap about it. Hence, the name was born.

That’s funny, I broke my leg wrestling.

I remember Dan Gable wrestling in the 72 Olympics. One of the matches shot in so hard and fast for the oppents leg it just snapped.
