I hear you on the yard. Grew up on an acre and half lot and it was push mower every damn week. Torture.
Maybe wearing a weight vest while using a push mower…
My mom had to remind me that when I was a kid our lawn was over an acre and my dad and I pushed mowed if for several years. I reminded her I was 15 at the time.
Except in my case I’m in way better shape now than when I was 15.
Maybe buy some more home gym equipment with the $ saved by using push mower.
Crippler, check my log for using a belt squat machine.
Ha. Nope. If there were riders on the market right now, I would have one. I’ll struggle for the next month pushing.

I had two buddies come over for Weighted Walk Wednesday. Both are in their 70s and continue to train hard. One guy, Les, is my mentor and got me started. They peer pressured me into the 205, which was about 70 pounds more than I ever pushed. I did a lot less work tonight, because we had a good time shooting the bull.

For tonight’s workout I mowed the acre with the push mower. For days my wife said she would do the front, it I did the back. There are no hills on the front. She made three passes and tapped out. I ended up doing the whole thing again. It’s a really good workout.
Then she should not complain if you get yourself a real nice rider.
Better workout that your prowler?
I’m getting a new one. I just want to wait until the spring. I try to stop mowing around the end of this month. Hopefully, I only have to do this a couple more times.
I feel like I have been thrown out of a truck after the mowing. I must be used sandbags and the prowler.
I was told the secret is to space out your kids so you always have one that is old enough to mow. I tried that and still ran out of kids. So I bought a bigger lawn tractor, did not reduce the time much but is more comfortable.

None the normal guys who I trust to spot me were there this morning, so I went light. My daughter is a senior in college and Dad’s Weekend is next month. Each year one of the events is a student/parent bench press competition. We have always joked about doing it. She’s home this weekend, and last night said she is willing to do it, if they have it. I won’t train for it, but just show up to have fun. She’s in great shape and a really strong young lady. It could be fun, if it goes down.

Actually V-Squat. It was a typo on my part. It’s this machine:

I can’t reach back anymore to hold the bar for normal squats.
