Dumbbell curls w/50s and cable curls w/190. Slacker?
I’m sorry. ![]()
And as strong as you are…
There is a sign in my gym…if you lift it you can put it back…doesn’t seem to help!
Kinda the same situation here too. Again, this morning, I spent part of my time moving things around.
7/30/22
Bench:
5/225, 3/245, 3/275, 2/335, 1/295, 5/245, 10/225
Pullovers:
4/15/85
Machine Flies:
4/15/240
Hammer Strength Decline:
4/15/70
I’m finding I am getting a great stretch from the pullovers. I have a goal of working my way up to 100 for 15 reps. Now to mow the lawn. It is supposed to be 110 today.
7/31/22
Deadlift:
315, 405, 425, 0/455 (from lowest rack pin)
Seated Leg Curls:
4/10/110
One Leg Extensions:
4/10/80
21 days out and not the workout I wanted. 425 was a struggle for some reason, so I attempted 455 from the lowest spot on the rack. It was not happening. 424 is the state law/fire record. I think I have that. 457 is the world record. I have been focusing on that, but I’m not too sure now. A month ago, 435 was light and easy.
I normally do an opener workout two weeks before I meet, but I’ll skip that this time. There will be no more leg or DL for until after the meet. Hopefully that keeps my legs fresh. I’ll just have to figure out my opener when I get there.
8/2/22
OHP:
4/5/135
Standing Plate Raises:
4/15/45
Upright Rows:
4/10/95
DB Side Raises:
4/15/35
Sandbag Shrugs:
2/100/200
Not as hot today. It was 94 when I got home, so it was off to the garage I went. I have a big fan and it was windy, so it was not too bad. 100 reps of the sandbag shrugs was pretty hard on the second set.
My left elbow is giving me issues. I can’t fully extend my arm without some pain. I’ll have to give it a rest, after the meet.
8/4/22
I walked two miles with my wife, daughter and sister-in-law. I’m trying to rehab my elbow and keep the legs fresh.
8/6/22
Two weeks out. I did two miles on the treadmill. I’ll probably do some light lifting tomorrow. I’m finding my elbow is not too bad with the combination of Tylenol and Bio Freeze.
Good luck in teh meet and with your elbow…I think I’m a Biofreezee addict.
Thank you. We’re doing DL only, so things should not be too bad.
8/7/22
Machine Flies:
4/15/250
Pullovers:
4/15/90
Bench:
2/10/225
Crossover (mid-chest):
4/20/50
Treadmill:
10 minutes
I tried to keep it light and find things that would not stress the elbow too much. I was not going to bench at all, but two of my young, strong officers were there. As the boss I had to do at least something. The elbow is getting slightly better, I think.
I cut things short because my little girl leaves for your final year of college this morning.
8/8/22
Treadmill:
1 mile
Pendlay Rows:
4/10/225
Hammer Strength Front Pulls:
4/10/100
DB Side Raises:
4/10/35
DB Front Raises:
4/10/50
My elbow feels a lot better when it is warm. By the time I was done working out, I almost didn’t feel it.
8/11/22
Treadmill:
40 minutes / 340 calories
Light stretching.
Yesterday, at times, my elbow felt 100%. Today it’s still a little stiff. I am hopeful it will be at least 85% by the 20th.
8/12/22
Walked two miles and continued to stretch.
8/13/22
Treadmill: 2 miles
Stretching and testing the elbow a bit.
8/14/22
Treadmill: 2.4 miles / 440 calories
I’'ll mow the yard later. I have been icing my elbow a bunch.
8/15/22
Walked 1.5 miles. Continued to stretch.
Where’s your meet located?
Saturday in Coeur d’ Alene Idaho. My son is competing too. He’s in law school in Spokane, so it will only be about a 20 minute drive for him.
