Old Guy Strength

That sled is a cool addition- good for you man.

Maybe. I noticed they are similar in terms of really hitting the legs.

Thanks. I really like it. I’ve been talking about it forever. Finally my wife said,“why don’t you just get it?” Yes, ma’am.

At the old gym everyone knew a certain bench belonged to me on Saturdays. The new gym the same rules to not apply. I had to use a bench I have not used before.

No strength in the legs this morning. No excuses, but I will make some. Yard work yesterday, crappy sleep last night and sled work Wednesday. I think next heavy DL day I will skip the Wednesday carries.

Today I was pissed at myself so I just did reps at 315.

Pretty good workout. I jumped on different kind of treadmill. It U-shaped and is self-propelled. Never again. I lasted about 20 seconds. It clearly is designed to make you jog. That’s something I don’t do.

U shaped? Hammer Strength decline machine? That’s surely a new age gym you’re using.

Large, new building, great equipment and clean. It’s first class. The owner is a Marine. He started with one gym in an old building probably seven years ago. Built this gym five years ago. Started a crossfit gym at another location. He just purchased yet another big gym which opens this week. The customer service is awesome. My daughter and I both got welcome to the gym gift boxes last week. They had a shirt, towel, two sports drinks and numerous coupons for free drinks at the gym and training. I constantly get awesome workouts there.

At the gym tonight and not the garage. Age and ego are funny things. I sometimes forget I’m at least 20-25 years older than most of the strongest guys in the gym. There were a couple really strong young guys there tonight. I think about what I could to when I was their age.

You’re still too young to think like that.
