@ Crippler56 How young are you?
Good luck to you and your boy! That’s awesome…and Happy Fathers Day YOUNG man!
That’s 2 votes for Crippler being a young man. Maybe 3 with fitguy’s post.
I’m 51
I’m really using age as a motivation. In the old gym I was the big dog. At the new one, I’m just another guy. It’s really pushing me. I know I need to work harder than those 20-25 years younger.

My first early morning workout at the new gym. There was a pretty good crowd. Again, I consistently get better workouts here. I think a year from now should be interesting. I expect some pretty good gains, as a result of making the forced switch.

I finally got everything measured out. Tonight was good because it was our first really warm day. 85 at workout time.
I have worn the same sleeveless shirt for every weekly carry night for the last two years. It as yet to be washed. My wife threatened me with a washing tonight. I told her that was not going to happen.
“Good lord, woman, you’ll wash all the strength out of it!”
My trick is to put gym shirt in bright sun. Kills odor pretty good.
Oh, I’m good with the odor. I have a special place in the back of the closet for it. In the past two years I have worn it at temperatures well over 100 down to zero. It’s a badge of pride at this point.
Oh jeez your whole life’s ahead of you. So does your son have his contest weights picked out?
He’s entering the 181 class. He said he wants to pull 425. He competed with me three years ago at 151 and pulled 400.
I’ll make room soon the couch for you!

It was pretty warm tonight, so I thought about going to the gym after work. The garage is so much easier however. Plus I can be home in 10 seconds.

I’ve yet to find a crew at the new gym, but I’m slowly starting to know some of the people. It’s a pretty cool place.
So what’s with all the arm work?
I mean, really; who lifts weights to get big, strong arms?
Your crew will assemble itself in time. Just so they push you.
Surely the last two posters are just kidding.
Well, I’ve lifted weights all my adult life and my arms are still kinda thin. But I keep at it.
