I’m doing my day of liquid diet and quarantine. Thus far I have only had some broth and jello. I’m pretty hungry and didn’t really feel like carrying stuff, so I tapped out.

I’ll say. Things keep breaking and the docs can’t do anything about it.

You guys need an attitude adjustment. You’re not old by anyone’s definition. Not even relatively speaking.

Right, and what’s the alternative…

Not getting old… :scream_cat:

True. Older and wiser I guess.

My first colonoscopy is in the books. I found the prep was way worse than the procedure. I got scoped in both directions, so I was given some good meds and got an awesome nap.

Both directions. Hopefully you don’t mean they went down the throat too?

Yep. I have acid reflux so they wanted to check that out too. I’m all good though.

That felt good. I’m not sure Wendler would approve but I have been modifying 5/3/1 on deadlift days. I am doing the minimum prescribed reps, and then adding a bonus set or two. Today 435 felt really strong, even after the previous sets.

55 in each hand x 600 steps
45 in each hand x 600 steps

I think I am going to dedicate myself to bearhug carries for a while. It is much harder than over the shoulder carries. My first two sets were 200 steps.

Meanwhile, I was informed today the gym I have been a member of for 20 years is closing. I heard Saturday is the last day. I need to find out which gym my crew will be going to. We’ve been a group for probably 15 years, and they have been some of the best friends I have ever had.

Those guys will stay your friends for life.

Hopefully. I kind of look like it when old guys meet for coffee in the morning. We do the same thing, but it’s working out.

Guy came into office yesterday who was in early 80s who looked like a mature powerlifter. He said he still exercised and does a lot of yard work. He also said I had great arms.

That’s my goal.

On your way… :mechanical_arm:

That sucks. Are there a lot of gyms in your area?
