Whadya teach?
Happy Birthday!
Light snow accumulated in roof valleys of all my neighbors’ houses yesterday. Didn’t melt either.
Happy B-Day, keep up the good work.

I’m an adjunct in the Criminal Justice Department at a local university.
Thank you
Thanks
Sweet. I teach computer science. Ain’t it fun being an adjunct?
Well I got a kid in college and a second in law school, so the second income is nice. But yes, the kids are great. I’m in my 10th year this year.

Sandbag Shoulder Carries: 1000 steps x 200
Sandbag Bearhug Carries: 500 steps x 200
Sandbag Suitcase Carries: 100 steps x 200
I did the shoulder carries in two sets. The first was 700 steps, which I think might be a 200 pound on set PR. As I have said before the bearhug carries are really hard. 500 steps might be a PR, but I am not sure.
I vote for just shoulder carries, and --of course–increased sandbag weight. You’re still young enough to push yourself as long as you’ve got that blood pressure controlled.
Just a thought.
Well it was your peer pressure that drove me to 200. I might have room in the bag for 20 or so more pounds. That’s down the road however.

I forget it’s still winter. It was 50 when I got home, so I thought I would leave the door open. About halfway through the wind came up and that was enough of that.
My exact garage experience except I didn’t lift there.

Sandbag Suitcase Carries: 1100 steps x 200
Sandbag Bearhug Carries: 700 steps x 200
Sandbag Suitcase Carries: 200 steps x 200
Winter is back. It was 35 degrees at carry time. My first step of shoulder carries was a PR of 800 steps. 700 bearhug steps was a PR for 200 pounds. As was 200 suitcase carry steps. I still say sandbag carries is one of the hardest things I’ve done.
Impressive. I swear I haven’t touched a sandbag since I got out of the military but you guys are gonna make me give this a try.
