Sandbag Over Shoulder Carry: 800 steps x 150
Bearhug Sandbag Carry: 400 steps x 150 (5 sets)
Suitcase Carry: 100 steps x 75 in each hand
Above Head DB Carry: 100 steps x 20 in each hand

800 steps was by far a PR with 150. I wanted to drop it so bad after 600, but 800 was the goal. The neighbor lady came out as I passed her house. She wanted to talked but I told her I couldn’t.

So we have a long driveway, which connect to a private road, which connects to the main road. We live at the end of the private road. It was dark out and I was carrying the bag down the private road (I made it to the main road for the first time). I saw Karen pulling in. She drove past me into her house. I made it the public road, and turned around and headed home.

I had my ear buds in, but I was only listening to a podcast and not music, so I was able to hear. As I walked past I heard, “Hi Bill.” I kept going because my only thought was making it home. She clearly did not understand what I was trying to do. I heard again, “Hi, Bill how are you?” I just gave her a wave with my right hand. I then got, “Are you ok?” I replied, “I’m just trying to hurt myself Karen.” Then say just says, “Oh, ok.”

She’s a really nice lady. In her defense it was dark outside. Still I had a big bag on my shoulders.

Even better than I had Invisioned…lol

That experience is exactly what I’ve had with about 130 lbs for a much shorter distance in my alleyway for 7 houses.

800 steps=1600 feet moved. That’s over 1/4 mile and still not adding sand.

Anyway, your deadlift weight will probably explode.

Thanks. The feeling when you throw that off your shoulders can’t be beat.

:joy:

That’s the story I’ve been waiting for :+1:

I forget…you’ve got some Rogue bags or homemade duffel kinda things??
I’m trying to picture the size and shape.

BTW, that her name is Karen makes the story that much better.

Probably been picking up your 150 sandbag with one arm.

I have a Rogue bag. I got the long green one. I know the whole Karen part cracks me up too.

My wife likes to point out I have almost $200 in a bag of sand.

Sandbag Shoulder Carry: 1200 steps x 150
Sandbag Suitcase Carry: 200 steps x 150

My goal was 1000 steps in one set. I couldn’t do it. I did, however, get 1200 steps in four sets. My first set was 420 steps. I good part is I was still able to hoist the bag onto my shoulders after multiple sets. When I first moved up to 150 pounds it was hard to get it up there just once.

Nobody here sees a problem. That bag is real tough, I think I need one (or more).
