Old Guy Strength

Farmers’ Walk:
35 in each hand x 400 steps
45 in each hand x 300 steps
55 in each hand x 200 steps
65 in each hand x 100 steps
120 in each hand x 100 steps

120 in each hand was the most I have walked with. It was a really fast walk.

Strapless 120s = beast mode. Good gripping too.

You’re certainly strong enough right now for 150 or 200 lb sandbag carries. Cheaper than heavier dumbbells and great aftereffects over much shorter distances.

The dumbbells are not an issue. I am using the little barbell handles I purchased. There did you get your sandbags? I am thinking about pulling the trigger. The ones from Roque look cool.

I now have a Zoom meeting for job #2, then taking my daughter out for her birthday dinner. It’s actually not until next week, but she leaves for college on Friday. She wants to do it tonight.

Good Dad.
She will remember, how nice you are.
Great to set the example. Hard to do.

Strong.

Your first sandbag. Economical, amorphous, great for garage gym, fun to use & monster builder.

“Rogue Strongman Sandbags” are solid and don’t leak sand. Farmers walks w/240 easily justify you starting with a 200 lb sandbag. Fill half way to start, then add sand as you wish.

Guy demonstrating the Rogue bags is in his 50s.

Thanks. She’s leaving for college in two days, so it was a big deal.

It’s funny today a young guy at work stopped me and said, “Hey boss, is that shirt a size smedium.” Of course he was being kind of a smart ass, so I played along and said I get my shirts from Baby Gap. In truth it’s an XL.

XL only at the moment, you mean.

I just saw a youtube video crossfit trick to do handstand pushups. Makes them easier since one is using leg thrust to assist the pushup.

Video is titled “How to make your handstand push-ups more efficient”

You’re going to force me to do them again. I must say, however, I kind of miss them.

That was it. I really did not have any energy today, so I bailed. I drove one kid to law school yesterday and the other one to college. It was a 13 hour day on the road and moving stuff.

Prior to 95 I screwed around with 165 in each hand. I found out right away that was not going to happen. In fact I gave up on it and texted my buddy. He talked me in to trying again. Still there was no way. I just cleared the floor. I think next time I am going to start out heavy, after warming up.

Maybe an intermediate set or 2 before you get to heavy. Straps are fine.

Your deadlifting numbers and those 120s carries ought to get you up to 200s.
