It didn’t start out as a deload. My bench has two pads so that it can be used for inclines or declines. The bottom pad is for your butt. The weld on the bottom pad has started to break off. It has been doing so for weeks, and I just have not fixed it. Today I really messed it up. I was forced to stop benching and lay the other way for presses.
My neighbor has a welder, but he’s out of town at his cabin. I’ll have to get him to fix it for me next week. If not a guy at work also has a welder.
That’s it. I am going to add a rep a week. 10 sets of 10 might be much, but 10 sets of five would be good.
I took the day off of work. Spokane County finally opened up, so we are heading there to check out my son’s apartment we rented for law school. I’m also looking forward to sitting in a restaurant again.
Modified Biceps Gauntlet:

No tris today. We got some rain and lightening coming, and I want to get the yard done first. I called my gauntlet modified because I don’t have all the dumbbells they have at the gym. Still it felt like my arms were going to explode.
Also it was nice to sit down and eat yesterday. It was nice to walk in, order food, and be served. Our son’s apartment was pretty cool too, and just a short walk from the school.
Although I did call a buddy last night. He’s 88 years old and hard as a rock. He lives on the east coast and was a police officer for 40 years. With all the crap going on we swapped stories. He’s a great dude and he always invites my wife and I to his vacation home in Florida.
This was just what I needed after a stressful day at work. Due to declining revenue we are laying off another 10 or 11 employees. We just laid off 11. One of those losing their job is a guy we just hired who shares an office with me. Now maybe some whiskey and a cigar.

I decided to put a little weight on today. I’m getting bored doing lighter weight and more sets. I still worry about doing it with no spotter around, but I think I’ll go a little heavier again, now that I found this was kind of easy.
