That no additional work today. I was a little tired going in. My yard is a little over an acre and my rider is in the shop. I push mowed the whole thing yesterday. Four hours of hell.

After all that yard work that is a hard session. Love ya work.

Just a couple yard pics, in case anyone thinks I am full of crap. The really bad part was they dropped my rider off the next day.

Thanks. I didn’t have a whole lot of drive yesterday.

You never mentioned you live in a private park.

Beautiful yard!

Thanks y’all. It’s really not a park. My neighbors are the true lawn guys. Although I did just finish mowing again. I was not satisfied with the push mower effort, so I gave it the once over with the rider again.

My wife wanted a big yard when we purchased the property. Of course in 16 years she has helped mow it once. Anymore I put a podcast on and lose myself for a couple of hours.

I don’t recommend this, but I will share it. I once met a guy on a riding lawnmower cutting grass along his about l/2 mile long driveway. He showed me the ice chests full of beer he had at both ends of the driveway from which he took a can each time he reached either end. He said he looked forward to grass cutting.

Yeah, I’m really not much of a beer guy. I did, however, smoke a cigar while mowing. They’re probably worse than the beer, but I limit myself to one every couple of weeks.

Yesterday I took my wife to an eye specialist in another town. A former coworker and fellow powerlifter lives there, so I gave him a call. He and I stood outside and talked. Our friend, and my powerlifting sponsor, drove by. She pulled in and told us she is opening her gym June 1st no matter what the state says. She and all the other gym owners in town will be doing this.

She is close to losing her business and home. He husband is a contractor and he has not been able to work until two weeks ago. She is going to be responsible by limiting hours, taking temperatures, having members sign waivers and extra cleaning. I wished her luck. Hopefully we can all come out of this soon.

Precautions aside, I’m still going to wait about 2 months after my gym reopens. I want reassurance(s). I read Monday that the virus attacks cells lining of blood vessels enabling it to go anywhere in body, and that’s after it causes small lung sacs to fill with pus/water to stop blood oxygenation. Guess reopening anything is a health v wealth tug of war.

Excellent. Here’s hoping local govt doesn’t interfere with that.

I get it. I work in a filthy environment already. I’m really not scared of it. I have no idea when my gym will open, and at this point I really don’t care. The garage is working out just fine. I look at the stats locally and we have had just over 60 deaths. All but three had underlying health issues. One of those was a 400 pound 39 year old who was also diabetic. My boss’ wife works for the coroners office, so we were able to review the information. In the end we all need to do what makes us comfortable.
