We’re a really small school. 1,500 students or so. We don’t have a lot of the overhead bigger institutions have. Additionally, the school caters to the less advantaged. Most of my students pay little or no tuition. That being said, it got rough a couple of years ago. As for now, I have not heard of anything negative. Luckily, its only my second job.

I am starting to wish that I had more dumbbells, but I see what people are asking for them now. I’ll just continue to get creative with what I have.
Have you ever tried doing the isolation movements for biceps first. @The_Mighty_Stu swears buy it for maximum gun gainzzz.
I normally do not. I may give it a run next week to mix things up.

I dropped the weight and added reps to start over again. I have not used the leg curl attachment on my bench in about 20 years. Now I remember why. I have to find just the right position to keep from feeling like my knee caps are going to explode off.

My son joined me in the garage tonight. He benched. He’s only 165 pounds and put up 235 pretty easy. He said he hit 250 at school.
Crippler Jr. undoubtedly has a goal of besting your benching someday.
You and your commercial gym workouts; the luxury of a makeshift home gym w/55 lb dumbbells. If I can eventually acquire about 500 lbs of olympic weights, [(4) 35s so far but only have farmer’s walk bars] and maybe a decent dumbbell array, I might consider a strong 55+ workout partner on the days I don’t go to commercial gym. Probably nonexistent in my subdivision.
He’s not as big as me, but he is pretty strong for his size. I wish I had more dumbbells. I have: 15, 20, 35, 45, 55 and 65. With my 540 pounds of plates I am good for a while. I now have two bars which allowed my son to bench, while I worked on squats.
A landmine attachment would let you do equivalent dumbbell rows for a lot less $$.
Saw a video of a really strong powerlifter holding trap bar sideways to do suitcase carries.
Yeah, I saw some others hear talking about those as well. I am going to do some shopping I think.

That felt pretty good. Our governor just extended our order to June 1st. He then laid out a phased response, similar to the one the president rolled out. I am thinking I won’t see the inside of a gym until August. Having said that, I honestly think I have made more gains on my own in my garage. I miss the atmosphere at the gym however.
I have the landmine attachment.
It’s good. You need 3-4 ,45s stacked to hold it in place, and some space for the bar.
Thanks. I got six, so I should be good.

I am changing divisions at work tomorrow. This means new hours. Instead of starting at 0700 I will start at 0800. Which makes me wonder. Should I train before or after work? Mondays are an off day anyway. So I got some time to think.
Workout consistency trumps workout time selection. I like going to work pumped after early AM workouts. Likely useful in your line of work. Also, instilling subtle fear in others doesn’t hurt either.
I just hit the early morning workout again. It’s nice to know I got it done for the rest of the day.
