not to be annoying, but could someone give me some points on my snatch from the last page. I just wanted to hear from some of the people here where I could stand to improve (i am sure there are many places). Thank you so much.

Looks good, look up at the start of your lift,

Main issue is the speed of the 2nd pull, just attack it more and get faster and be more aggressive under the bar but ovearll form looks good. You just need to be faster opening up and faster under the bar.

Basics are all down mate. Keep it up.

Ed I sent you a message but let me know if it went through. For some reason my messages get lost on this site.

Just out of curiosity, have any of you guys implemented any of the chinese methodology in their training?

Well felt like a train wreck today but did a 315 fs (could have pushed it more but my wrists weren’t very happy) so my numbers are slowly going back up!
my bastard brother did a pretty easy 335 fs
then snatches

worked up to 165lbs (75 kg)

and then followed with back squats 5-6 doubles at 335

Did a decent 68kg jerk tonight that felt easy (67 was my previous pr and it was an ugly one  ) I tried 70 3 times but chickened out each time  I seem to do that a lot on the first attempt at a weight, need to stop it!

I have boxes now so I have no excuse for not doing a lot of them.

I did a bunch of rows and deadlifts yesterday and my whole back was pretty tired so I didn’t expect to get much done tonight after 2 fs sessions but it was alright.
Was that chickening out on the Jerk or the Cleans?

The body will adapt and you can hit good weights. I didn’t even feel good yesterday in the squat and did more than Monday lol

Good job on the 68!

Koing
Thanks!

I was chickening out on the jerk. I made 68 again today but missed 70 5 times. TOMORROW!!

My hips are still being a pain so I`m taking a few days off of squatting, cleaning and snatching. Sucks! But I can do lost of jerks, presses and pullups in the meantime at least.

Going to try to go back for another art session tomorrow.

Going to evaluate my training every 4-5 weeks and see what I’ve done and see what I need to make improvements. I must be able to make 1-2kg improvements each 4-5 week period barring any injuries or anything out of the ordinary.

I Cn 150 on Friday but dumped the Jerk as I had NOTHING left…the Cleans were feeling ridiculously heavy for me, having not Cn anything over 130 in about 2 weeks due to my pathetic strength levels. I failed the Cn twice before hand so that wasn’t a great setup to CJ 150. I’ll go 147 or 148 next time. Going to edge up 2kg each week or so.

Getting closer to 70!

150x clean,
150x clean
150x got the clean , dumped the Jerk as I had nothing left…

Funny how my FS are up, Jerks feel solid, but the Cleans feel really heavy and the Sn feel strong off the floor. More lifting and the lifting will feel slicker but the main thing is my FS are up so that will help raise the maximum limit of my lifts.

Now to really push my squats and thus lifts up.

Meh Id rather just keep attacking the target weight and get more experience with it than take a 1-2kg jump. Learn to lift the weight by accumulating reps with it and get less afraid of it. The FS works the clean the most so if your FS is more taxing or going up, the clean will suffer until you adapt.

You reckon? Either way I’m going to do an experiment…:stuck_out_tongue:

The Cleans felt heavy because I haven’t Cn in about 3 weeks…, not bad CJ 145 without CJ more than 120 in about 3 weeks lol. It’ll come back to me very fast.
