I’d be pretty excited to jog two miles. The last time I did any kind of running was two years ago when I tested my time for running a mile and a half. That was fun.

NOT!!!

Agreed,

I would rather stand in line at the DMV, be bludgeoned to death by a dull spoon, and watch the TV Guide channel than run 2 miles.

Maybe I could run two miles if a chocolate cheesecake was dangled on a string in front of me. Or if I was being chased by the cops or an angry dog.

I may borrow some of these mental images to motivate me to 4-miles and for 6-miles, I will just have to imagine all those marines muddy and naked.

I have noticed that my legs are having a harder time after my runs when I do squats or lunges. I would have thought that my running would be increasing my muscle endurance.

Are you off on a super seeker ninja mission?

Noticed you weren’t posting as much…whats up?

Ninjas can’t talk about super secret ninja stuff.

I wish =) Life got complicated with both parents on support for breathing. That is just scary. But.,. what do you do?

best to everyone as I play this by ear.

Thank you Mom in MD. That was very nice of you to check in with me. I am derailed by personal business.

I have had two parents rushed to emergency to come home to a dog with a messed up leg. The gods are laughing at me right now.

Sorry to hear about your parents! Best of luck to you…I hope that things turn out for the best.

I’m very sorry to hear about your troubles. I’m thinking positive thoughts for you.

My heart and prayers to you and all you love lady. Stay as positive for as long as you can and remember when the powers laugh at you laugh right back.

Thanks all.

They are better and at least home now so that is good!

and now I am off to do some CARDIO … and go jog around a beautiful lake.

Tonight I will lift some weights and while at the gym I will molest the sweaty well built men with my eyes.

Life is good

oh, Im glad your parents are home!

Haha! Just found this. Enjoy!

EDIT: It is a cake believe it or not.

hey!!! Thanks Doc for remembering my birthday!

I have been MIA for a bit. My damn parents can’t seem to stay out of the hospital but both are home and doing pretty good now! Thank goodness.

But I did get to do the Mud Run! It was so much fun. I am doing it next year. I hope anyone on here who does it will let me know so we can meet up and race to the finish.

Here is a pic of me crawling out of a tunnel after wading through a mud pit. I am in the red shirt.

Here is about 4 miles into the race, you have to slip and slide through this mud flat to a very steep hill.

Here is the start of the steep hill.

Here is going up the steep hill. It was narrow and slick and people jostling you and at the top they are spraying a fire hose at you trying to knock you back down. There are run off channels that are going down the middle of the trail that make it so you need to watch your footing.

and the top of the steep hill looking down. (I really should have started posting pics in the order of the race but I really hated this hill)

Here is the start, you can see the spraying water. There were 4000 entrants and that includes individuals and teams. There was a man there is a full business suit with a tie, in dress shoes and carrying a briefcase and he ran it. Of course super heroes, I saw Superman and Batman. Teams dressed as ballerinas (men and women), hula dancers, disco queens, women wearing thongs over their runner shorts, and law enforcement teams.
