So OG, do you think you are more ninja-esque from your training?

I am definitely uber-ninja now

What’s a guy to do when he is expecting squats and deads and gets descriptions of gray pubes???

I’ll come back at a later time…

(Slowly creeps backward out of the room)

Ha! Candyass.

OG-

I’m curious if your friend’s nephew did check out FA and if it changed anything for him.
I will be sure to ask him on Tuesday. And I forgot how hard donkey kicks can be. The ones where you keep the leg up with the foot towards the ceiling and then pushing straight up with the heel. Gave my butt a bite.

I will let you know!

Ha! Hairdye is my best friend - I started greying early and it doesn’t look good with my coloring.

OG - dig your log. I’m a ninja, too, but of the desk variety. Occasionally, I break out and kill the assorted pirate. 10 points if you know about www.realultimatepower.net

I started going grey at 22. I’ve been colouring for so long I think I may be close to entirely white now. I have no urge to find out.

But, do the drapes match the carpet?

Fuck off. I think I started crying the day I noticed they were starting to. That’s why god invented razors.
Heh…welll, razors are one thing but here is another option…

oh Chrys… I think you just found a great thing. I am liking this!

Alrighty well tonight my dad asked to go play racquetball so I am very excited. He’s had some health problems lately so this is fantastic. We have not been able to play for almost 2-years.

another thing is he pulled out his old weight bench and weight set. This is good for him and my mother who is recovering from cancer and has COPD. Mom’s been going to respiratory therapy and doing much, much better.

What this has to do with my training log is, I just am so damn happy and feel quite a bit less stressed from worry. Just a good thing.

Good for you! Have fun with your dad.

Ooooooooo! The Mud Run - I’m so jealous. That’s totally on my list of things to do. It’ll have to wait until I get back the the US so I will live vicariously through you.

Lol at the donkey kicks - a friend and I were just discussing those today.

Enjoy racquetball with your daddy!

How’s my favorite ninja?

Be careful with those punches with db’s that is pretty rough on the shoulders.

Got to the gym before work at 5:00am. I forget how crowded it is on Mondays even that early in the morning.

Warmed up on the elliptical

Leg Press
90lbs x 10
180lbs x 15
270 x 5 (4 sets)
180lbs x 5

Walking lunges
35lbs 2x length of gym

DB Deadlift
45lbs x5 (5 sets)

Bentover rows
65lbs x5 (5 sets)

Tricep rope pushdows
30lbs x5 (5 sets)

Glute ham raise
x10 (3 sets)

I liked the morning workout this time. I’ve been working some extra hours at work so I think being in the groove of getting up early really helped.

I have my last guinea pig session with the trainer on Wednesday.

Had a morning walk on a gorgeous beach. Here is a picture from this morning of Torrey Pines Beach. It was gorgeous. A little grey, but nice breeze, great smell of the ocean and I just love the sound of the waves.

and a picture of the coastline. The hill on the left (I kinda cut it off dangit) is Torrey Pines State Reserve. The only place the Torrey Pines pine tree grows. Also there you find Torrey Pines Public Golf Course where they play the Buick Invitational.

I wish I could wake up to such a sight, wow. Is Torrey Pines considered La Jolla or North SD?

Lovely. I have a gorgeous view of the Mission Mountains when I walk in the mornings. Perhaps I should remember to bring a camera with me…

It’s low tide, nobody’s rippin it up.

Alrighty! I am still around and doing things.

I have been trying to get the jogging thing down and I was out for a bit with a sore hip.

I was working with the student trainer and he had me do these lunges where you put your weight on one leg and in a reverse move you cross the free leg behind and to the side. So if your weight is on your left leg, your right leg goes back and far to the left and you squat down. However I was doing it made my outer left thigh hurt like a toothache. It hurt when I would put my foot up on my right knee to put on my shoes. It was like that for a week so I think I was doing something wrong.

So last night my leg was feeling normal so I went for my walk/jog. Walked the mile to the track and then I was really over the moon for jogging 2-miles without stopping! Okay Okay, I know for you regular joggers that is no biggee, but I am not a jogger. So I was a pretty damn happy camper.

This morning

warmed up with
Superset with 12.5lbs dbs - x10 3 sets
a1 front raise
a2 lateral raise
a3 hammer curl
a4 overhead press

cable rows
60lbs - x10
70lbs - x5 (5 sets)
80lbs - x3

Lat pulldowns
70lbs - x10
80lbs - x5 (5 sets)
85lbs - x2

Tate press
20lbs - x8 (3 sets)

tricep push downs
1 x 15 25lbs
1 x 15 25lbs
1 x 15 30lbs
1 x 8 30lbs
1 x 15 25lbs

glute ham raise
x15 3 sets

Nice back work.

I’d be pretty excited to jog two miles. The last time I did any kind of running was two years ago when I tested my time for running a mile and a half. That was fun.

Agreed,

I would rather stand in line at the DMV, be bludgeoned to death by a dull spoon, and watch the TV Guide channel than run 2 miles.

Maybe I could run two miles if a chocolate cheesecake was dangled on a string in front of me. Or if I was being chased by the cops or an angry dog.
