Official 2021 T-ransformation Announcement Thread

Mate you look fucking fantastic! You’re just around the corner from getting freaky pealed I hope you keep it going after the challenge

I relaly like this idea. I think that for non-powerlifters, training ina fatigued state is a great way to become a better athlete. Even for Olifting it has improved me a lot

I think I’ll do like you said, and tro to get peeled. And yeah I’ll keep it going, it’s better for business ahahah

Above the hips if you can.

The moment anything starts to touch the leg you’re fighting 2 extra battles.
As your legs move they’ll rub on and move the equipment. This take energy from your stride. It amazing how quickly this drains you.
Because the equipment is in the way your stride changes. Again this make things harder.

If both knock 5% off your max distance that’s a big change.

Just realised I replied to flip and not @DoubleDuce

Here’s my afters… am down from 96kg to 91.4 this morning. Not quite the 8kg I intended to lose, but strength has remained the same so can’t complain.

I’m so proud of all of you!

I told my son yesterday (recap: living in my workout room) that I’m ready to start working out again, and his response was “I’ve been waiting for that ball to drop.” I suspect it shows somehow to the people who know me well. I’m setting the alarm for earlier, and just…making the small changes that herald a bigger change. I’m also starting at a chiropractor/rehab center next week for my neck (which is again pain free after 5 weeks without working out). I’m hoping they can help me get around whatever is going on. X-rays show some arthritis, but also some muscular something (I was like, “so you’re telling me I’m muscle-bound? Yes, yes, that makes sense,” lol).

I missed half of the challenge, but really enjoyed the start. I was SO DIALED IN. And am ready to get back there.

So once again, the T-ransformation Challenge was a net positive for me. I’m so grateful you’re all in my computer every day, challenging and inspiring me.

meh- the bar for kidney sales is too low. Some Chinese guy sold one for an iPhone

Maybe a part of a liver might be more accurate :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

absolutely. I think too often, people train in way too perfect conditions, especially for strongman. People who come from a powerlifting background almost always approach it this way. You can’t be picky in strongman shows, as far as warm ups, equipment, etc. I’ve been to shows where I’ll get like a quick deadlift warm up at 135, a couple reps at 225, if I’m lucky I’ll have time to touch 315, and then I get to wait 45 minutes and pull 550 cold as an opener, followed by 600 3 minutes later. LOL.

Nothing is ideal in most strongman shows, adaptability is crucial. If you can pull off the lifts you need in a fatigued, less than ideal state, you’ll be so much better off.

I was training the circus dumbbell two nights ago. One of the most important factors in nailing that lift is getting a very solid base and bracing well. The rack position is crucial for lifting a heavy circus dumbbell. I was training with intentionally rushed/ less than ideal positions to try to ‘push through’ the lift. I have this event for max reps in an upcoming show, and I know that by the end of a minute, things are going to start falling apart in terms of technique and stability. I won’t be hitting those perfect positions, and I’ll be rushed to knock out a couple last reps. I want to make sure I don’t fail those reps. So practicing shitty reps helps, haha.

Wooow that must be so tough! No way I could do such a jump :frowning:

Thanks for the insight

I think the biggest change I made was getting a tan last weekend.

Thanks! Definitely a work in progress. Just not where I want to be yet. Have to keep chugging along.

Here’s my before and after pictures. Been a great journey and well done to everyone who took part.

I’m down about 8kg since the start. I had no gym access for the first four months so just focussed on my diet and lost all the weight then sort of recomped (not intentionally, I wanted to get to 75kg) once they reopened. Life got a bit busy and I stopped trying as much but I’m still in the best shape of my life so I can’t complain.

@Chris_Colucci

I’ll count these as my official end photos.

Sorry for the lack of continuity, I kept forgetting to have the hubby take photos, so I just snapped a couple today. I am far from first place though!

Before back (Flexed)

Today (Also Flexed)

Not much of a differance, but I am happy with the results. I started with an inconsistent cut for the first few months. Then switched to 531 BBB with lots of food the last 7 weeks. I was mostly trying to minimize the fluff with the muscle gained. I jumped up from 154 to 160 in the first two weeks between the cut and the start of BBB. Then I held a steady ~160lbs. Mostly I noticed the energy and mental improvements. I want to be moving all the time. I am going to continuing to lift heavy and see… Well, see how big I can get. Then maybe I will work on pursing a thigh gap, or whatever it is ladies should have these days. For now though, I am having a great time watching my lifts increase.

I’m pretty sure that’s the main qualifier.

Regardless - great work!
