Don’t we have another 5 weeks?
Damn dude. Good job
Pulling faces like that, it’s a good thing you’re close to a toilet.
Jokes aside, great job.
Til June 1st I think
HAH. The faces are largely because I don’t have on glasses. That and posing is freaking hard.
Hey all! Not exactly a physique update, but I got a few decent shots from a comp I did a couple weeks ago. Weighed in at 175, but I was probably actually at around 190 at the time these pictures were taken.
I won 3 of the events, so I got to skip the fourth and still take the overall win. Also ended up winning the best deadlifter award across weight classes, based on wilks. 585 at 175 is decent it seems.
I’m always amazed profession bodybuilders and flex the crap out of every muscle and still smile.
What @aldebaran said plus I’m going to be on vacation the last few days so I’ve got about 8 days left.
Well, that makes it a 5 month challenge and now I need to cram for the test. Cardio and chicken broth time….
Congrats, that’s awesome!
No shit!!! reminds me of the 600 lbs deadlift thread were 99,999999% of the population is worthless garbage ![]()
Hehe yesterday and today were fat cheat days, around 4500 cals instead of my usual 2600-2800 so I gladly accept these 2 weeks to whip myself up a bit
At first glance I thought you were rocking an eye patch on that Hercules hold.
My buddy suggested this stuff, but flaxseed as the first ingredient along with beans…. I don’t know. But may be the ticket for weight loss!
So, funny thing about that one. That was my last event, and I didn’t know that we had started. I was still outside watching people on the yoke carry, and someone came outside and said ‘hey anyone who’s finished the yoke carry needs to come in’. So I walked in the door, and the promoter was like ‘DUDE IT’S YOUR TURN!’ So I didn’t even take off my glasses, ran up, didn’t get to hear the rules, didn’t see anyone else do it first, missed the suggestions on how to hold it, etc. I was still wearing my flip flops, haha. I was extremely lucky that this was a strong event for me, that could have been really bad.
I think I need to tap out for this year. I’ve lost 3-4 lbs, but haven’t been working out. New job, condensed old job, and most disruptively, my son is home and living in the area that holds my home office and workout room. He works evenings, so we’re off kilter and have to make arrangements for who’s where when. Also, and no complaint over this, but he’s easy and pleasant to talk to and that sucks up a lot of time.
So I’ve been walking with the dog and working outside and enjoying a break while I wait for things to settle back to a normal.
To be honest, this has not been the transformation I had hoped for.
On the plus side, I have lost a couple of kilos, kept to my program and become a bit stronger. My clothes do fit better than in a long time, so some kind of result for sure.
But the dieting down and losing 10+ kilos that I had envisioned, did for a number of reasons not happen. Main reason is not being able to scramble up the motivation for a hard diet and not wanting to sacrifice the tiny strength gains I work so hard to get. So yeah.
But will post the after pic of course - who knows perhaps a miracle will happen in the remaining 10 or so days. ![]()
So much this. All of this.
@Chris_Colucci here is my after pic!!
I’ve dropped 7 kgs, a dress size and gained strength and tonne of confidence back. Have been enjoying my lifts again. It has been the best damn thing I could of done so thanks for this. I wanted to get a bit leaner for my last pic but I’m just enjoying life right now so here it is. Well done to everyone else who worked hard (or tried at least)
