You’re kind to say so, sir, but you should take real credit for your results - it really is difficult to maintain the lengthy discipline to both gain muscle and remain lean (and certainly to get leaner).
Ok, so Deep Water.
Since I went from grappling 5-7 days a week, to 0, I have been back to lifting full time during all of this, luckily my garage was converted to a home gym years ago. Reading all this I got curious, read the Deep Water ebook yesterday which happened to be my 5/3/1 squat day, said fuck it and did my 10 sets of 10.
All I will say is that it is mostly mental. My legs went numb after the 6th set, and getting myself under the bar for each subsequent set, was harder than actually doing the set if that makes sense.
Also it was the last night of passover so I ate two medium pizzas by myself after. Which probably helped.
Totally get you there
Those quads look swole ![]()

Almost embarrassed to say that other than bench press I don’t even train the Shoulders !! ![]()

To be clear, no creep intended… just observations
Don’t worry, I’ll take it. Obs or creeps welcome.
You look thick, man! Great work
Great shoulders. You look solid.
Think I’ve regained a lot of weight, probably mid 170s but haven’t weighed myself in a while. Feel strong and lean-ish.
Anyway, got a $25 pizza, worth every penny
You’re an awful human being, parading that in front of me.
Is that Sir Pizza??
Diet is consistent now, breakups are always nice for body comp, suddenly you don’t want to eat that much.
@loganator is that pizza 5cm thick or am I dreaming? What the fuck it looks glorious
Mr. Scribs Pizza, moved last week and this place is less than a mile away now. Bit of a step up from my usual Little Caesar’s but I’m just trying to do my duty and stimulate the local economy.
