@EmilyQ, I think Dave Tate said something along the lines that powerlifters have to wear their lifting belts at all times, so people know they’re not just regular fat people.

Finally, a little arm progress. Wrist still girl-like :joy:

I’m still losing weight at this stage. Have gotten used to a lower-carb diet; still have some beer, and a lot of my carbs are baked sweet potatoes. Today that was my only carbs - a dos equis and baked sweet potato (brn sugar if course) with some delicious grilled fish.
In the mirror I’m like, whose this skinny dude? Haven’t seen this guy for 6 months, or really at this point, years!
I’ll get a progress pic soon. Nothing crazy like you awesome jacked mofos, but it is improvement.

What was starting weight and where are you now? Awesome they your making progress. It really does feel good!

I was 200lbs early December, 194lbs when I joined this on 1/1.
176.8 this morning.
Disappointing that with all this loss, the abs are still being shy.
6ft tall.

I agree your rocking man - but at 6ft and 176 maybe it’s time to eat for muscle a little more?
It’s just a thought- I mean how much do you want to lose. I’m 6’4ā€ 230+ and trying to gain…

With your dedication you can definitely achieve whatever ya want.

It takes time building true muscle… If I’m really lean (true 8-10%) I’m at around 180 fpr 6"1’ :cry:

Down 9lbs so far, putting the diet on hold for a bit and trying to find the happy middle between post workout icecream and being hungry all the time. Feel like I only have about 5lbs to go to reach my desired look. Shoulder veins and striations coming in, good thing I store all my fat in my love handles and low back so at least I can look good in a tank while taking a break

I feel like I am this weird plateau area now where I have lost 4 or 5 kilo, and still feel some days that:

-I am still fat in the places I don’t want fat
-Don’t really show any kind of impressive muscle anywhere
-Am not particularly strong
-Weight and fat loss have stalled, despite being in a deficit
-Am still old and bald
-I just kind of suck

So I will both congratulate you guys on your progress, while simultaneously mentally punching you in the face over the internet.

Same thing happens to me every time I try a cut. I lose a bunch of weight, lose some strength and still don’t look that good. That’s why now I only care about strong and don’t really care about my love handles !!

You mean hate handles.

No I mean love because my girls tell me they love me all cuddly !! :joy:

See now I am unsure if you are talking about girls as in children, or girls as in you have a harem of worshippers.

Lmfao I am deff talking about my little daughters. Mate only need a woman to smile at me these days and it’s enojgh to make time think i’ve still got it !!
