Get your ass in the door right now!
Iām just trying to get one in before midnight so I can say I did one today.
Scale weight went up to 180 (+5 lbs.) almost immediately after I posted my official start, and hasnāt budged.
And the mirror is a damned liar!
I did. Decent workout with a semi funny story Iāll post in my journal shortly.
My man, you look awesome! Keep up that ridiculous work ethic.
A workout or an Oreo?
It was tough, but I managed both.
Intraworkout cookies are the new science.
And I love/hate cashews. I can account for about 400 cal. per day just from them.
No need to humble brag about how much money you have

Hey thanks man! You keep fucking crushing it too! Your output is insane man
Got a question if anyone can help:
Does creatine usually cause you to gain weight and if so how much roughly?
My diet has been great this week but Iām up 0.3kg when I expected to be down at least 0.5kg. Could be nothing but Iām trying to think if Iāve done anything to cause it. Only thing I can think of is I started taking creatine a few days ago.
I think at the very least and can (will?) cause some water weight gain. And also, if the whole point of creatine is to add muscleā¦
I have it lying around from a long time ago - I bought it but never used it consistently. I figured I may as well use it and worse case scenario it does nothing. The weight gain Iām not too bothered about because I feel like Iām leaner but Iām fairly sure I donāt have much of an idea.
Going up a kg or two the first few days of starting creatine is normal and expected, esp. if you do the loading thing with a higher inital dose
If it helps any, I discovered a couple weeks ago that the PWO I was using doesnāt have any creatine in it, so I have actually been off it for a really long time without realizing it. Went and ordered some immediately. I wonāt swear by it, but there are plenty of people out there who do, and go even further to say that it is the only supplement out there in a sea of supplements that actually does anything worthwhile.
Iāve never noticed a difference from it but Iāve also never taken it consistently for more than a week.
@Chieftain thank you. Iāve been having 5g a day.
Bad ass sir!

Jesus, you look at @kleinhound and you feel as about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike ![]()
Well done everyone, keep it up ![]()
First, yes it causes weight gain. Most types cause water retention.
Second, a week? Why? Thatās the loading phase.
Third, the type of training you do will determine if you notice a difference. The studies that show that it works always test repeat bouts of high-intensity exercise. For example, an all-out sprint on an airdyne followed by a short rest and then another all-out sprint. Folks on Creatine perform better on the subsequent sprints.
This transfers well to weightlifting when rest are 1 to 2 minutes long. It would also probably help someone doing a CrossFit WOD. If youāre training with long rests between sets then you probably wonāt notice much.
Try it for the rest of the challenge and then quit taking it a few weeks before your final photo to eliminate any risk of water retention.
All good points, another to add is that some people are ānon respondersā. There seems to be a correlation between people that eat a lot of red meat, which is already high in creatine, and non-responders, which would be expected since the supplement isnāt increasing their levels if they are already maxed or near to it.
I agree. There is definitely a maximum saturated level. Otherwise, increasing the dose would improve the benefits somewhat proportionately.
More recent studies show that creatine combined with beta alanine is even better. Unfortunately, you have to dose the stuff every two to four hours because the half life is so short. Thatās not feasible for me so I donāt even try.
Well, crap. I just checked the internet and there Is a version that comes in pills. Those would be easier to transport and have on hand.
