Highly refined two-step process:
1 - Say you’re in.
2 - Post pic ASAP.
That’s it. Training logs tagged with t-ransformation2020 are definitely recommended because it helps to keep things grouped together and you can actually get great feedback on your plan throughout, but logs aren’t required.
One “side effect” of the challenge, and a good reason to keep a tagged log, is that it’s something that a bunch of us are going through together. Whether you’re new to the site or have been around for a decade-plus, you now have something in common with at least 53 other members of the community. So you can reach out, say hey, bust balls, or talk training/diet/sports with any of them. Logs (and this thread) obviously make it much easier to connect.
Other quick note: When anyone posts a pic that was meant to be an official Before, I make sure to Like the pic so I know it’s in my file. If someone posted one and didn’t see me in the little heart section right under the post, tag me so I can double-check. Otherwise there’ll be a problem when the finish line rolls around.

Thought I’d post a little progress pic too. I got it on my training look too.
Results of just over two weeks of dieting, around 6.5 lbs down. 100% compliance with diet, of course.
I’m hungry but it’s doable. One more week and then I’ll start gaining mass somewhat more slowly than I’m used to doing. I want to see how much muscle I can gain until summer without gaining excessive fat by being more precise with my nutrition. Should make things easier later down the line.

Love handles are smaller and lower ab cuts are more defined. We all lose fat in different places in a different order, but we are all the same in that we all lose fat in the one fuckin place we want to dead last. Only one thing is certain: if you lose faith and stop along the way, you’ll never know what’s under there.

My quads, calf’s, and shins are covered in veins. Everything else is like jelly lol. Biceps are down a half inch ![]()
Lol, missing the point here bud - your biceps weren’t a half inch bigger, they’re just half an inch closer to what they actually are.
Waistline is actually the only metric I’d pay attention to until my abs were visible.
We do this thing at work where we say “bud” and talk like Yankees and Canadians. I read that whole post in that voice

A real heavy NY accent is way stronger than it’s imitation. I’m from the Bronx, but my accent is not that strong - my wife is from the North Fork (Nawth Fawk) of Long Island (Lawn Guy Land) and her accent is always a hot topic down South.
