Pretty much ideal proportions…and that was before he went pro.

This is the same clown who claimed world record poundages on the bench and dead and said he only ate once a day, then changed the contents of that meal three or four different times through the same article. Was offered a ton of money to prove his lifts but coincidentally never came through. Looks good though.
This is the guy that did the 8" DL with 1035 and was running his mouth about it? LOL. He looks good, though.
Just my perspective…but considering what his efforts actually built…I just can’t laugh at that like I would some guy with NO muscle doing the same.
That 8" built a shit load of muscle…which seems to be his major goal.
Just the way I see it.
He could be lifting 20lbs in that picture above and I would still watch HOW he did it because of what it built.

Are you sure someone wasn’t confusing him with this guy??
That’s 1128lbs by the way and a world record dead

It’s not the ROM, it’s the claim. He claimed he could dead world record poundages and it turned to be an abbreviated rack pull. Obviously two completely different things. Then, I think he claimed he didn’t know what a rack pull was. And, I’d be willing to bet that that 8" “rack pull” had very little to do with his physique, in the grand scheme. I’d guess that the massive amounts of anabolics and volume did the most.

I was just joking around, that’s Mark Felix from England. He pulled that in an Exhibition at the Arnold. His comp lift was 1122 and he tied with Brian Shaw. I cant really fathom that strength honestly.
That’s insane.
Deserves its own thread.

Yeah, sorry for the derail, yall mentioning 1000 plus deads made me think about it.

I doubt even one of the really big lifters at my gym knows what a “rack pull” is either. They don’t mess with discussion forums on the internet and that seems to be where most of the focus on that movement originated.
I don’t know…I personally wouldn’t ignore what someone actually accomplished to focus on the negative to that degree.

I wouldn’t say its an internet thing. More of a powerlifting circle thing, and I know around here at least, very few of the gyms have much in the way of powerlifters, although it seems to be gaining steam a little every year.

No doubt…it is just that I never heard about “rack pulls” before a few years ago on this site alone. None of the monsters in my gym ever do them. I just can’t see laughing at some huige guy because he didn’t know about them.

Who’s laughing? Just pointing out the obvious: the guy’s full of shit. Even if he didn’t know what a rack pull is, he still knows it’s not a dead, and he still lied through his teeth about his bench, his preacher curl AND his diet, all in the same filmed interview. Just because he’s built like a tank doesn’t give his a free pass on being a liar.
This reminds of the Roy Hibbert 500lb DL claim when it was just a shitty Rack Pull. This IMO is even worse because a guy like this (immense size and muscularity aside) knows damn well what a DL is, and blatantly lied about it, which is fucked up.

Exactly. He lied REPEATEDLY throughout the same fucking interview. Just 'cause he’s a house doesn’t give him a free pass.
Prof X I am by no means trying to make this a steroid debate. I am genuinely curious as if you plan on using to achieve a similar physique as you stated that is your goal? Or do you beleive that is attainable naturally?

The real question is: if it is attainable naturally, why hasn’t X attained it? He’s trained (by his estimation) for over 15 years with a focus on size and (hammer) strength and has done so naturally. Maybe he’s not cut out for this… or maybe it’s fucking stupid to assume someone could reach that level of development without a boatload of drugs and the right genetics.
I think the real question is why anyone is focusing on me in a thread about Max Charles.

No offence, but probably because you said that was your physique goal, and how you eventually wanted to look.

? Only you’re focused on you. Others are asking a simple question in response to your statements, and you continually ignore the questions.
