Is it alright to have almost 40-50% of my fats coming from peanut butter. My fat inake is right around 70-75 grams a day with about 30-35 coming from peanut butter. Is there a problem with it coming from the same source? Or is it all the same, as in the body doesn’t know it’s peanut butter, but just the mono and poly etc.? Thanks.
If it natural peanut butter it should be fine. If its not natural peanut butter theres a good chances there is less than 1 gram of trans fat per serving (the label rounds down). Variety is always best, make sure to be getting a good ratio of omega 3’s, 6’s, and 9’s.
Youll be pretty high in PUFA’s and will want to get some SATS and MUFA’s in high amounts to balance it a bit

Peanuts are high in Oleic Acid (same as Olive Oil) and linoleic Acid (Omega 6). That means you certainly need Omega 3. You probably pick up enough saturated fats through other foods like meat and dairy. The volume of O6 you are getting is quite high and to counter that you need a lot of fish oil.
Ideal ratio is 1:1 so get at least 10 grams of total EPA + DHA. That would take 3 time the normal dose of Flameout or take the normal dose (4 caps) + 4 tbs of flax meal (freshly ground) daily. Buy whole seeds and grind them with a coffee grinder. Take them mixed in 1/4 cup of yogurt or in your protein shake twice/day.
