I’ve posted this before but now that Coach Davies is on. What type of strength, agility ect training is recomended for an obstacle course event? My wife just signed up to compete in the ms. galaxy.
The course is the epitome of functional strength. Strength must be developed so that it is purely functional. This is an extremely “slippery slope” because you need to constantly develop your training such that only functional muscle is developed. I can throw much greater detail but remember that in this type of competition you are only as strong as your weakest link.

BobbyD, Do you know what obstacles are going to be part of the Ms. Galaxy course? If so please post them and I with try and give you and your wife some insights on each one.
I hope you caught the Army Ranger Competition on TV the other night. It showed the running of the Dabry Queen (the mother of all Obstacle courses), if not watch for it.
